I'm looking to buy book on AP or OOBE and was wondering what you guys consider the best book on the subject. I know it's subjective but will give me a good place to start.

Robert Peterson's first book, "Out of Body Experiences: How to have them and what to expect" would be the old testament.
Robert Bruce's "Astral Dynamics" would be the new testament.

Would you have a preference for either of the two or should I get them both? Reason I'm asking, I have several books that are waiting to be read and it seems I just don't have a lot of time so I could possibly fit one into my "busy" schedule.  :reading:

Hi jub jub

I'd second Kiwi's comments - with a personal preference for Robert Peterson's book.

It's available online free too.  Here's the link.

It's the first one I read and not only did it make so much sense, it made me realise that the strange things that were happening to me were quite normal (well, normalish anyway!   )

Enjoy!

I wouldn't advise you to read only Robert Peterson's book, though...

It is an awesome book, but he is not very objective in some parts. For instance, he believes a lucid dream is not an OBE. It's just one opinion among others.

Astral Dynamics is important because it's probably the most advanced in terms of understanding human energy and our ability to leave the body. I would highly recommend it, even though it's pretty long and "heavy" with information.

I'm an engineer so "long and heavy" doesn't bother me. I rather enjoy the technical aspects of how things work.

I will check out Astral Dynamics!

Ah, I was afraid you might skip it because of your busy schedule.

Good choice :)

I started up with "The art and practice of astral projection" by Ophiel. It's a short book but it includes 4 projection methods (ethereal, astral, lucid and mental). It gives you a good insight on the theme and his writing style is quite different from the normal. Very advisable.
