i put a brainwave mp3 on looped. laid down on the floor. got in trance. after a while i "woke up" and was still lying on the floor. i could see my room around me and had my arms up in the air and i was looking at my hands wonding if this was an OBE or a dream. i know it must have been something because i had a sleepmask on at the time and was seeing my room around me. it only lasted a little while before i really woke up and did some more RCs. any clue what this might have been?

How clearly could you see the room... and did your hands/arms look "solid"?  I've done similar, but my arms look "transparent" when I wave them around...

all i know is, i thought it was real. as far as i could tell, when i REALLY woke up, i had to tell myself it couldnt have been real because i dont remember taking off my sleep mask during this, even though i saw my arms and room, which looked as real as possible. i guess i wasnt conscious enough to do anything with the experience...

In all of my small/short OBE experiences, I was always surprised on how solid everything was, especially my body. I felt physically solid. The first time really shocked me because I expected to be like how you would picture a ghost - transparent, light & floaty.  If at the time you were conscious enough to think, "is this real?", then I would call it an OBE.

Quotei had to tell myself it couldn't have been real

Why? Most people would love to have that real of an experience. It shows a lot of progress. Even if it was just a dream, it sounds like a lucid dream, which is just as good. Keep doing what you're doing.
