Time(s) when OBE is more likely possible

Hi

Nick Newport on Lucidology 101 asserts that the best time for OBE is 5am-7am, after having slept a good night.

Due to my schedule (baby,etc) it is impossible. My best time would be in the evening after baby is sleeping. Baby requires all attention at all other times (eg 4am she wakes up)

Does anyone have any comments?

It goes to show that nothing regarding AP is set in stone. What would be more accurate is saying that the best time to OBE is when your tired/groggy, yet have a certain level of awareness. For a lot of people that happens to be 5am-7am. For you, not so much.

If the best time for you is the evening, well then there ya go. You may be more likely to fall asleep from a long day then, but not necessarily. Everyone is different and succeeds in different ways.

I've heard others with babies say they use the early morning wake-up as a method in itself. Once you get the baby back to sleep, maybe give it a shot. (Or maybe that's not possible, I don't have kids)

statistic:
1 - 5-9am if interrapt sleep befor it for 5-30 min. Aspecially indirect technics(making attempts just right after awakening)
2 - 5-9am. Indirect attempts just right after awakening
3 - 0-5am. Indirect attempts just right after awakening

4 - 0-8am. Direct attempts: 3-15 min. after awakening

For me the best times seem to be around 3-4pm if I take an afternoon nap, and around 3am.

typically most of my experiences occur between the hours of 8am and 12pm. Usually after about 5-6 hours of rest.
I wandered slowly there

Thank you all for your responses. They are really helpful in the sense that I know I can create my own time to AP.

I had my first partial body paralysis (after short black out) last night along with a really interesting (non-lucid) dream about finding my way in a maze leading to body paralysis. Right on topic!

Tonight I'm going to try: short nap at 7:00PM (to kill the day's sleepiness), then audio stimulus to wake up every few minutes. (Credit to Lucidology 101 for the timer).

Last night I slept the whole night (thinking I was aware) and woke up still with mild paralysis at 3:40AM. Baby decided it was time to get up shortly afterwards, so my next attempt wasn't successful.
