Was this my first OBE?

So this was a strange one, not heard of this before and I wonder if it was an OBE. I woke up at 4.30 and took galantamind/alpha-gpc supplements. I then concentrated on rolling out as I fell back to sleep. I don't think I managed it and just fell asleep into a regular non-lucid dream.

That non-lucid dream was of me in my bedroom about to go to sleep(!) I remember thinking inside that dream all about OBEs and that I would really like to do it. In my dream, I rolled out of my dream bed for the first time into awareness, found myself in a void, and returned back to my dream bed. I then tried again, I rolled straight out, and focused very  clearly on what I knew the carpet looked like in the bedroom, and eventually the void began to clear. I stood up. I didn't turn around to look at myself - I wanted to but remembered how that could pull me back to my body so I didn't. I walked/floated down the hall, concentrating on keeping awareness. Went into the lounge, went over to my rabbit's hutch where he was sleeping, I put my hands straight through the metal bars and stroked him. He looked 'different' but it was him. I also put my hands through the wall and it felt 'watery'. I then walked away and walked/floated back down the hall - didn't want to go back to the bedroom so decided to walk through the front door, although I couldn't - it was solid. I'd run out of energy/awareness and found myself back in my [dream] body, again, non-lucid and dreaming in the same position I started in. I was so excited, I had just OBE'd, it was so vivid and amazing. Then I woke up for real. What?! :D

Galantamine can help you to have OOBEs and may increase vivid dreaming. It was an OOBE, alright and it turned into a dream at the end because your unconscious mind took over before you woke up. It seems like a projection into the metaphysical realm or what I call a Mode 2 OOBE.

QuoteMode 2 OOBE:

You may find yourself in what appears to be an inaccurate emulation of the real world. Familiar objects may be out of place or absent, sometimes unfamiliar objects are seen, and other structural anomalies may be observed. This is the metaphysical realm where dreamland and anything that the imagination can conceive can manifest. You can visualise an environment of your choosing as everything appears to be representations of thought, or even visit what appears to be the worlds of others, the latter being that which you believe you have not imagined. The environment can seem extremely real, sometimes displaying a crisp and bright hyper-real quality that outshines our waking reality. Some experiences here seem to indicate that one is also capable of perceiving what's on the minds of people who are awake, thus this type of experience would enable telepathy if the experiencer peruses the minds of the visited. One may also perceive an inaccurate replica of what the person is doing in the physical realm because, even as we think during the day, we are constantly projecting thought forms in that frequency. Mode 2 is easier to achieve than Mode 1. My experiences suggest so as well as indicating that there is a whole other reality or more appropriately, perhaps, more to reality than meets the eye.

Mode 1 OOBEs = Here-now or RTZ projections.
Mode 2 OOBEs = Astral Projection

:-D

QuoteI didn't turn around to look at myself - I wanted to but remembered how that could pull me back to my body so I didn't. I walked/floated down the hall, concentrating on keeping awareness.

Don't doubt. If you want to do something just do it and don't worry about consequences. You can look back at your body all you want, although in Mode 2 OOBEs the physical body is either absent or inaccurate.

Congratulations on your experience! Do you think the supplement had much to do with it, or do you normally spend a lot of time practicing? I've never heard of it, but if it helps I may give it a try.

Congratulations on Projecting!

I agree with Summerlander. I think you were in your own realm of consciousness. You did project but you went into an individual somewhat inaccurate realm.

but that's a lot better then most people do.

Congrats again!

Greetings apsinvo
It's easy to agree with the others here about you experience (was an OBE) so congrats.
You did well to get clear of the physical body. Proximity to the physical body can end a projection prematurely. And when it does not it usually causes distorted astral senses and confusion.
On your next OBE try to get outside and fly. Its a blast!

What was the product you used pls.

How did everything feel? If everything felt dreamy than it's possible you have projected, but chances are your just having an LD.

Congratulations Apsinvo, its always good when you have your first experience and you manage to remain in some sort of control. But, the question is and i know this is an open one which will attract very differing views but i know that mode one is OOTB and ok mode two is Astral projection but what makes mode two different from a dream?

I've had dreams where i have been partially lucid and could fly at will but unlike a normal dream i had some sort of lucidity, are they Astral projections i.e. mode 2 or just dreams or are they the same thing?
Perception is everything, because you think you see it, does it mean its true?
