Hello ssjoku, have you achieved a trance? Have you been working on your enerygy body? If not then do those things first. After you got that done then worry about exit tech's.
But if you are up to par, then do the rope tech. Imagine feeling and only feeling that your climbing up a rope. Imagine feeling the rope.
You could use the ROPE technique, the FLOATING technique.. Uhm... There's a bunch of 'em. Let me describe the rope technique to you:
Now, you feel the vibrations! But what to do? AH, THE ROPE TECHNIQUE. This will free your astral body from your phsyical body, and triggering an OBE (out of body experience). What you do is use your imaginary body to grab on to an imaginary rope (do NOT visualize the rope. It takes too much work and distracts you from the separation.. Just feel the rope and your muscles pulling on it, though they aren't really). You will keep climbing the rope in your mind. Keep in mind, try to imagine your body VERY heavy. Make sure that you're not climbing the rope with ease. At this time, after you've been climbing for a very brief while (30 seconds-2 minutes), you'll deffinitly feel a big force pulling on you. This is very intimidating, as you start to realize that your heart is beating extremely hard (it's not really, it's your chakras (spelling?)). HOWEVER, if you wan't an OBE, you MUST keep climbing the ROPE. Nothing can hurt you while projecting.. You cannot die. It's just an illusion that seems scary, but once used to it, is a great experience. Now, soon, as you climb ROPE, you'll feel and hear a pop sound.. and you'll be out of your body. Most of the time, you'll see your body laying on the bed/chair, yet you're floating above it. (I'm not kidding.. it's an amazing kind of dream)
It's from a paragraph I wrote a little while earlier. Hope it helps.
only time i use the rope technique is when i know i am in my astral body and can move a bit but not enough to get out or if i am stuck to my body in other words and can't get out it helps a lot. basically keeping your mind on one thing helps you astral project the best is koans ie give your mind an answer it can't answer and it will silence keep doing it and you may fall asleep (trance) and then feel falling sensation then afterwards just walk out that simple. examples are what is the sound of one hand clapping so you wave one hand see just wind, another is hanging with your teeth on a tree over a cliff with hands/legs tied up and just swing around and expect an answer. now if you want to get a taste of the astral just go to sleep 5hours set alarm to wakeup then wash face stay awake then drop to sleep concentrate on one thing be it a koan or the heart or whatever you will literally fall asleep and being aware of the whole process it happens 30% of the time try that out.
if you are achieving paralysis, first just see if you can move your arms (not your hands, this will break paralysis, just try to lift you arms)
either:
you can't, or..
you do
Now if you do, you need to determine whether it is your physical arm or astral arm, and it can be quite confusing if your eyes are closed and you can't see.... if you can lift an arm up yet you still feel entranced, try to lift the other, try to stand up... if it's hard to do you're probably in your astral body so to speak, however there are times when you just completely get up like you would in real life, yet are out of body.
So becuase of this, I'm not a big fan of trying to exit on my own... usually I just hit the vibrations and let them do their thing to me, and I find that I float up out of my body and either am swifted off somewhere (usually if I focus on inner eye visions and visualize something) or I float up and land on the floor.. once I kind of was thrown into my door, which I thought was cool.
But basically if you know you are paralyzed (and you will know this because either you are completely numb, can't feel yourself, or maybe even in moderate discomforting and alarming heaviness) just try to lift an arm out, if you can see it (via astral sight I suppose) it should be ... well.. in my case, transparent...
So if you think you're in a trance just try to get up, or try to roll over and fall on the floor, you risk realy falling on the floor if you have just convinced yourself when you're in a trance and you aren't, but you do get a real disttinct feeling when you are in a trance and you should in most cases *know* you're in one.
So if you just can't get out at all and vibrations aren't coming, I'd just relax and stay still and clear my mind and wait for them.
Another thing you can do is visualize somewhere you want to go, and imagine an object in that area.... such as... a doorknob.... this scene will become VERY real and lifelike eventually and you can literally grab hold of that doorknob and start pulling on it with all your might, and it will usually end up pulling you out of your body into the destination in your head... kind of like phasing I suppose.
I like this method a lot, though generally I only use it to reenter a dream that I have woken up from, and generally I'll just call out to the dream characters around me to pull me back into it before I completely wake up... they almost always cooperate and it's very easy.
I hope this helps some.... you were prety vague and didn't describe what you were doing at all.
Here are some that worked for me, use one at a time while you're semi-awake:
*Hypnagogy: interact with the images, if you see a piece of paper rip it, fold it, or throw it away; if you see a tv turn it on, turn up the volume; if you see a keyboard type on it.
*Feel yourself standing up and walking away.
*Deep trance: enjoy the rushes of energy, the sounds, the floating sensations, and don't do a thing, just wait for what's coming next.
*Create the sensation of being swaying, spinning or rolling out.
*Pay attention to your legs and feel them rising and rising until you're almost upside-down, then shove yourself out with your arms.
*Hold the mattress on the edges and force yourself up and down as if exercising, push the mattress up so that you will slide to the lower side of the bed, pull the mattress down for you to get back to the initial position, this will deepen the trance. When you can move fairly well stand up and walk.
*Stare deeper into the blackness till you don't know where you are.
*Feel you are ice melting inside the physical structure. Once you're all water you can pour out.
*Turn all your senses inwards: try to hear your thoughts, make them sound louder (think of a song and make it play), try to see them clearer (think of a book and read it), try to feel it real (turn the pages of the book), taste your thought (remember the flavour of something you haven't eaten in a long time).
*Pretend you're walking inside of a house full of hallways, stairs, doors and secret entrances. Explore the house.
Im having problems exiting can you guys tell me some?
