So with practice i have alway been able to project. as a kid it was natural. My question is, other than enjoyment and knowing that i am not my body, what other positive thing can come out of AP? Enhanced psychic abilities? communication with higher beings? Please share your knowledge.

Broad question. This is like asking "What positive thing can come out of life?" Whatever you decide to take out of it. You can do the things you mentioned and more. Read up on articles here, search the archives, figure out what you want from astral projection before you ask what it can offer you.
