Ear Throbbing, during Astral Projection???

did it feel like your eardrum was throbbing?

I get that when I lie on my sides (or sometimes back) and use energy through the ears.

I've never gotten it while OBEing before though, but I do sometimes get a ringing in my head/ears when suddenly brought into paralysis.

   Yes it felt like throbbing sensation in my ear! I started to go with it, then remembered the Star Trek episode with the ear leach, and immediately awoke myself!!! If I'd ever had ear infections or problems I'd write it off as that, but I haven't had any ear problems or anything.
   Why the heck would that happen? Creepy, @  this point I'm open to any suggestions, I'm baffled!!!?

Could it have been something as simple as your heart pounding hard?  Sometimes I can hear and feel a pounding in my ear, but it is the blood from my heart pounding very hard.

Your sensation of throbbing ear mark the same state as pulsation in the head does. It has nothing to do with your blood pressure, leastways. Check this out. First, you hear pulses of static noise gaining speed like zub.......zubb...zubbb, eventually fuse into a very loud, jarring white noise, then reach a treshold and turn into silence with a remaining pressure on your ears. You may or may not not preceive this accelerating process when your consciousness is focused outside your body or inside your mind (as opposed to focusing on body feelings via somatonsensory monitor), or find yourself awakening from regular sleep.
