Great work!

The spinning sensation is a bit unusual but not unheard of for OBE.  Usually, it is just a falling sensation.  Often when I attempt to have an OBE, I will imagine myself falling and/or spinning, which seems to help me 'loosen up'.  [;)]

One bit of advice is rather than trying to AP right away, to simply maintain a mindful presence as you become more and more relaxed.  Relaxation is the key to OBEs, so if you can practice that it should help a lot.

Best of luck!  [:)]

Hi Giselle welcome to the forums!

Are you trying for projections at night?  If so, you might want to set your alarm for 4-5am get up for a bit, it varies from person to person, some say stay up for an hour, but I just get up long enough to read a few posts..30min or so, and then do your meditation, energy work, whatever you do.  This should help with the falling asleep.[^]

I get motion sickness really bad as well, I have to drive the car or I get sick, how lame is that?..[:P]

It sounds like it was your astral double spinning.. I don't get it that much, thank goodness or I might get yucky sick.  I would say if this happens again, try and get up..  Just sit up, if all goes well, your astral double will be the one to sit up.

Since I don't deal with the spinning, hopefully someone else can come along and give you more advise on the next steps.

I've been trying to have an OBE for several months now.  I've been meditating regularly and doing a lot of reading on the subject.  I feel that I'm making progress, though not anything tangible.  I'm one of those people that fall asleep very easily and I usually wind up falling asleep quickly when I meditate.  My dreams have become a lot more vivid and I am remembering them better.  A few nights ago something happened that I really didn't think had any connection with OBE, but as I've been thinking about it...I wonder.  So, I'd like to know what some of you think.

Basically, I was having a dream (now I can't remember it and I did not write anything down)...but in the dream I remember I was spinning around and was feeling nauseous at which point it's as if I made myself wake up and when I did, I felt as if the room was spinning around and I was extremely nauseous for about 15 minutes.  FYI - I get motion sicknes very easily.  My interpretation at the time was that I was having a dream and was feeling psysically ill which manifested itself in my dream and I woke up.  But, I might have projected and not realized it.  The spinning feeling after I woke up was very strong...worse than any spinning I've felt when I've, um, been somewhat inebriated in the past.

I'd love to have your input.
