What does having an OBE feel like for you...?

Here is exactly what goes on in my mind.

1) I awaken from sleep on my bed, with this "feeling" that I can project.  Sometimes this feeling is accompanied by a slight numbing vibration all throughout my body.

2) From there, I usually roll out of the bed and land on my floor.  At this point, I am extremely excited, because I now know that I just got out of body.  No matter how many times I do it, I am always overwhelmed by this varying degree of excitement.

3) Within 3-5 seconds, this excitement goes away, and I start to question myself.  "Am I REALLY out of my body?  Or did I roll out of bed for real?"  I often think this because it is so REAL.  The carpet feels real under my feet.  The things I touch are solid.  My mind is completely aware and competant, just like it is when I am in my body.

4) In order to remove all doubts from my mind, I purposely go over to something solid, and thrust my hand through it.  At first, there is a little resistance, but then my hand easily slides through the object like a hot knife in butter.

5) From there, I then try and keep myself calm while decided what on Earth to do.

When I am out of my body, the only way I can describe it is that you feel like Superman.  Think about it.  If right now, as you were reading this message, you were able to fly to the other side of the room and then back again, how would that make you feel?

Just knowing that I can fly when out is enough to give me a peace and happiness when projecting that I often feel very euphoric.  In fact, there have been many projections of mine where I just got out, only to sit on the floor (or outside my house) and just relax!  No flying, no exploring, just sitting around and soaking in the experience.  It's that amazing.

Risu no Kairu, it sound like what you experienced was something called "bi-location."  Meaning, you experienced yourself in two places at once!  Which is a kind of OBE.

As for moi, I just feel like myself, only out, and I can float!  It is not a weird feeling at all.  At first, I was a little weirded out because it felt like I was swimming, and therefore my mind told me that I ought not be able to breathe.  But I got used to it!

Hmm... I didn't think of that, Tisha. Well, Bilocation, out of body experiences, remote viewing...

They're all twines of the same rope, aren't they?

If I fall or roll out-and I am close to my body-I will feel heavy and movement is awkward-but, if i am trying to do this-I will get outside and fly, which is just the best! Sometimes it feels a little tuff landing but with no physical body-no ouchies!

To me, and this only happened once, but it was frictionless. No air resistance, no ground resistance. The surrounding as I moved felt like liquid silk. Very smooth, no rigidness. Thats all for me...cuz my first and only time I was out for only maybe 5 seconds at most. teehee.

It feels like moving faster than infinity. The most subtle thought has extreme power. Its like flying a faster-than-light spaceship controlled by a touchpad mouse on a laptop. Move your finger a millimeter and you're at a different planet.

actually i don't know if this has been discussed much, probably a good question because i think everyone experiences something different, or maybe the same things in different ways.
The weirdest things i have found are the weird noises sometimes before I project and the sensation of moving through solid objects. You also may have times when you just can't move, or hit a wall and can't go through.
I also have instances of maybe not bilacation but of experiencing both realities at once-once i tried to spin to go into the astral but woke myself with a snore(has anyone done that before?) but I heard the sound while i was still spinning and I felt like some part of me was still spinning after i woke.
I think crazy is not the word, just 'weird'.
In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

I'm sorry for creating this topic, since there have probably been lots of them, but I didn't know what search terms to use to narrow my search to find something like this.

I mean, all the time when I've tried to have an OBE, I've never know what it would feel like... People don't really describe it. They just say "oh, you'll get vibrations, then you're out and you move with your mind."

Well, I'm here to ask what it feels like to you?

I've noticed the last two times I was out (brief, but I'm confident they were OBEs) I still felt like my mind was in my body, and on my bed, but I was also moving, and thinking there. I didn't try to look at my body or anything, but it  looked kind of like when you're watching a movie and the camera just pans forward.

I didn't feel like I normally do while I was out.

It was like I was... I can't really describe it... My mind was here, and it was also there, and I didn't have the normal physical sensations I have with my body.

It was all crazy.

So, I'm just wondering if this is how it is for others, or just for me (at least out of the people here)...
