What does the astral plane look like?

I have always wanted to know this since practicing and reading into AP, also i know that the scenes around you evolve depending on your thoughts, so for example I'm sort of fascinated by dinosaurs so would this mean if i was 100% aware in the astral would I be able to encounter things such as T-Rex and see what they was really like?

I know it sounds stupid but I'm really curious. :-P

Summerlander

To me it often resembles the physical world and, on a few occasions, it can be a little removed from it.

AstralAstra

So would that mean if you projected at night and did it successfully then you will be flying around at night?

Summerlander

No. Not always. Sometimes the sky, like other things, are in contrast with actuality. Sometimes it is bizarre. I've seen pink skies too. Completely pink. It was surreal in the literal sense of the word.

Yes in a sense, for instance if you expected to visit dinosaurs you would be able to. But, your expectations could possibly override their actuality. So, you may not experience them like they really were, but what you think they were like.

Twice (like half a decade ago) during my projections I was able to gain access to some sort of time "machine". The machine was a personal object which subconsciously made it easier to use than if i were to try and travel through time without make believe equipment (it all comes back to subconscious blocks). Well the machine was a bank with coins inside each resembling a time period. In one of the two experiences with the machine (which was hidden under the 7th block from the door in the basement, yes very very strange) the coin i chose brought me to a prehistoric time period. The area was a savanna and little dinosaur looking creatures with triangular shaped backs roamed around in herds.

So, in conclusion, anything is possible. If a great enough intent on visiting the past, without subconscious reality fluctuations, is there it may indeed be possible to see the t-rex as actually was. Just hold the intent when you escape your body to go back through time and visit them. It seems difficult to travel without some sort of machine in the astral because our physical minds are so accustomed to traveling with the assistance of vehicles. If you override these thoughts anything is possible.

Interesting. I wonder if a lot of these things that we imagine actually have an objective reality in other universes. You might have seen the pre-historic time an alternate reality.

hmm that's interesting. Maybe our homes and surroundings that get twisted (new/moved furniture, different doors and walls) are actually just possibilities from the infinite other parallel universes?

I've wondered that many times too, that if the changes that you notice could just be changes to you but could be completely normal in some other alternate universe. It definitely is an interesting concept to think about.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.

Absolutely, possibilities that may already be physically manifest in alternate realities. I think the many worlds interpretation in quantum physics makes a lot of sense.

Yep. Just like the series Sliders! You guys ever seen that?

The astral realm looks like many things. Everything is endless. Trillions and trillions of galaxies, different planets to visit, different life to encounter. It's an amazing place. As for the dinosaur thing, project and look for em ;)

I found an interesting website which may answer your question. The guy has two free books you can download as PDFs. One is called: "Ultimate Yoga by Michael RADUGA" and on Page 36 he describes exactly what you may be looking for and how he stared into the eye of a T-Rex. Here is the link to his website:http://books.obe4u.com/. It's the book with the red sun and 2012 written on it. Quite interesting. He also shows videos of techniques, but I haven't tried.

I've put together a website too which tries to give a comprehensive description of the astral plane, based on my journals collected over the last 40 years if you are interested. It's the "life after death" section, consisting of 6 parts so far. This is all work in progress http://www.multidimensionalman.com and as people here suggested, the place is infinite.

The way Michael Raguda describes it sounds as if he got there via the Akashic Records.

Yes, Michael Raduga is a legend. In fact, if anyone wants to have an OOBE guaranteed, just go to his website. Everything you need is there. I recommend his book too. It includes an array of useful techniques. Take your pick! 8-)

I used to watch that! As a matter of fact I have been thinking (when I watched it) that we could be shifting into paralel universes all the time, without noticing it, everytime we make a choice/decision. And that that is how creating our lives works.

And to me the astral also looks like physical world mostly, and sometimes with some pleasant extra's. And one time it was like a fairytale, with so many bright colours.  :-)

Yes - who knows...we might go to sleep in one and wake up in the other - the differences might be so subtle as to appear that nothing has changed and yet....

Thanks, I noticed that you guys put up this link. I downloaded the books and could put them into kindle format. It really looks interesting. I need all the help I can get.

I'll take a stab at this...

The astral, or "non-physical" as I usually refer to it... looks like, your perception of what a 'world' looks like.  In the case of most "humans", it'll look very "earth-like" because that's really the only way we have learned to "perceive" what a world looks like.

Buildings... grass... trees... roads... etc...

It's all there.  :)

A few days ago now, I woke up in the morning and turned to cuddle my partner. Then I lay still and my eyes were shut. My head was facing the bedroom windows. What I'm about to describe here is not an OOBE. I never separated and I never stopped feeling my physical body laying in bed. I could feel my eyes shut the whole time.

But suddenly, I acquired vision. It was really odd. I could see windows but they were unlike the physical ones that I was facing. I could see that outside, there was a building many storeys high. In actuality, of course, there is no such thing. I noticed one of the windows of that building...inside, a woman perambulated with a kettle in her hand. When I tried to pay more attention to detail, the vision switched off and all I could see was the back of my eyelids shielding me from the morning light.

Did I imagine the whole thing and if so...why? If not, did I tune into the frequency of a parallel universe? Where is the building? where is the woman that lives in one of its apartments? Perhaps the many worlds theory is true. Maybe there is no real collapse in reality and all outcomes are possible and actual in designated frequencies:

"The many-worlds interpretation is a postulate of quantum mechanics that asserts the objective reality of the universal wavefunction, but denies the actuality of wavefunction collapse, which implies that all possible alternative histories and futures are real—each representing an actual "world" (or "universe"). It is also referred to as MWI, the relative state formulation, the Everett interpretation, the theory of the universal wavefunction, many-universes interpretation, or just many worlds."
