i dont know but something like that happened to me today i was sleepign on the ground and i woke up and i was still tired so i went back to sleep but i didnt really sleep i guess i was resting. But it felt like my arm was like hanging off a ledge of a bed or somethign like that but i was on the floor. Maybe your legs/arms being crooked and my arm hanging means where close?

You mean your real hands?  Maybe your limbs were starting to separate and your awareness was split between astral/physical and your brain interpreted them as 'crooked'?

I can only tell you what I have done in the past- I try to move energy around my whole body so that my 'astral double' has equal amounts of energy to separate fully.

Hi Boby

I know what you mean.  When I am very relaxed, I also get the sensation that my physical limbs are in a different position to where I know they are.  I think it's to do with the level of relaxation you are at.

However, CFTraveler might be correct - it could be your astral arms.  But, from my experience, I know that I need to be lots more relaxed before my astral arms start floating around!!

If you meditate you notice this happen with deepening levels of relaxation. I think its caused by reduced external sensory input due to an increasing level of trance. This translates as a warping of our sence of external body (hands in different positions, hands merging into one unit, body twsting etc).
It's a good sign that you're reaching deeper levels of relaxation.

Hi Boby,

For a lot of people, trance comes pretty easily. (For others it takes a lot longer, so good job!) However, the next step -- projection -- often takes a lot longer.

Here is a shortcut technique that will help you get to projection a lot quicker:

Hi Boby

I think you are placing expectations on your relaxation sessions.  For some strange reason, trying to make these things happen has the opposite effect.

You have to get to the point where you really honestly can say to yourself, "I don't care whether nothing happens - I'm just simply enjoying the moment, isn't it great, just lying here in this gorgeous relaxed state of being, oh, I wish it would go on and on forever."

That's normally when something happens.  It might only be seeing images and blobs of colour, but it's a start.

You're straining at the leash and I'm afraid that's not going to get you anywhere.
