On the right track here or?

K so I kind of got frustrated trying to raise energy as it was hard for me to visualise and imagine (I will try another time) so I thought I would just lay back and relax and listen to a binaural thunderstorm sound on my headphones on my IPOD which I find relaxing. I did it with no real technique other than 1 thing which was to keep still for as long as I could so that way maybe I could enter paralysis if I became relaxed enough.

I think I did make some progress. For about 35/40 minutes I lay there still as possible and did my best to not think of anything and only concentrate on the sounds of the binaural beats. I found myself a little more "engrossed and relaxed" as time went on and my physical body did not feel as "there" as it did before I started relaxing it was like I could not feel it as much its like it felt like a huge blob or something. Anyway then someone from my family came in my room and ruined it  :x and that was that.

Is this a technique what I described? you guys familiar with the symptoms that I described? (the blob) pls give feedback.

I got another quick Q on the side: will quickly moving or twitching facial muscles break your keeping still progress when you and looking to not move for the longest time possible?

I think you're off to a moderate start. Relaxation is done to relax since you become aware, you "listen in" of sorts to your body. You become aware of more than just your immediate physical being. One that is done easily you can pass to energy raising of whatever kind you like. Specifying general sensations and asking for clarification may nullify your subjective experiences so I say just to look for something "new" of sorts.

Also twitching muscles are not relaxing muscles. Periods of duration is unnecessary as well. All that is needed is to just get relaxed.
