Hello, I'm really sorry if I posted this in the wrong section; if some mod can move it to the appropriate section, it would be appreciated.

I'm one of the newbies, who's been trying to astral project. I try AP every once in a while and when I fail, I quit trying. Now I'm really starting to get frustrated and I thought that maybe there is a book out there that could help me. I haven't read any book on AP/OBE's but I think it would really help me if I do. I've had sleep paralysis a few times and that was that. Anyways, can you guys recommend any books for newbies. I'm sure this would help out other members who are struggling with AP. If there's already a thread, I'm sorry. A few books that sparked my interest on Amazon were:

Adventures Beyond the Body: How to Experience Out-of-Body Travel
Astral Dynamics: The Complete Book of Out-of-Body Experiences
ASTRAL DYNAMICS: A NEW APPROACH TO OUT-OF-BODY EXPERIENCE

So, what do you guys recommend? If there are better ones than these, please mention them.
Thank you,

kurtykurt42

In my opinion this forum is better than all the books you will ever read. Someone should turn all the good topics and posts from this forum into a book.

I'll definitely start spending more time reading on the forum, thanks. But I still think some books have some good info to get you started. I'd like to get a book that I could read at night and would help/inform me on how to AP/OBE. So..anymore suggestions/advice?

I've got Astral Dynamics and Mastering Astral Projection and have read them each several times. I also have about 100 eBooks that I've all read as well.

Is there one you recommend for beginners?

All of them are for beginners. I guess there aren't very many advanced astral projectors out there.  :-D

It's always good to read a book, it will give you a new, step-by-step approach to Astral Projection and related topics, I recommend Astral Dynamics: Complete book of out-of-body experiences.

I read it, it covers everything to do with AP. I'm also getting Robert Monroe's Journeys out of body, and Far journeys.

A book I liked, you can start reading right away because it's an ebook:

I got Astral Dynamics a while ago. Read 100 pages so far and its really good :) I never really read a book before outside school but its just as simple as reading forum posts
First and only (classic) OBE so far: 12th August 2009
LDs: Once per week :)

I think Astral Dynamics is a great one to start with.  He really covers a lot of terrain, from the actual experience, to methods of energy development (a real key in being a conscious projector unless you are just one of the lucky few), problems you may encounter, etc.  All good stuff.

The free ebook at OBE4U is probably the best thing I've read in terms of good practical advice to help you succeed quickly. Most books I've read are just re-hashes of the same techniques and information, but this one contains methods I've never seen anywhere else (the indirect methods). The fact that it's offered for free (like much of Robert Bruces work) also suggests that it's coming from a genuine desire to help people rather than just make money, which is always a good indicator in my view.

That is an absolutely fantastic book.
I believe it was one of my first ones.
