I used to be able to fly around and go places. Now I have trouble even controling my movements, and it's like I just sink through the floor once I leave my body.  It's really getting upsetting because I cannot ever leave my room. Plese help.........

Dear bondgirl3007,

well it sounds like a lack of energy. That's what Robert Bruce describes in his book regarding this problem, anyways.

Do you practice energy work?

Yeah, I've been thinking maybe just it's my energy that is low. I've been doing some chakra meditation, but what I'm listening to isn't helping. Does Robert Bruce's stuff work for you? His book just seemed so complicated, and I didn't get through it.

Yes it works very well. I found that energy work does the same to the energy body that massage does, it really sets the energy body into motion and promotes relaxation. I found that the energetic support structures (like electricity wires) running through the the etheric body are more important to stimulate than the primary 7 chakras.
They can clogg like arteries so you must stimulate them by tactile-imaging or just directing awareness towards specific bodily areas and stimulating the respective etheric-body energy systems in those areas that way. You're looking for that tingling feeling.
I feel-imagine the energy running through like highways.

Remember, work from bottom up as the feet are your etheric plus pole where you want to pull the energy up and the crown chakra the minus pole where the energy exits in the shape of a petal. Energy is stored within the middle chakras.

Robert Bruce did try to keep his book as simple as possible but the mind split theory at the beginning surely is a bit hard to get through. You can jump to a desired chapter right away if you like, there is only little reference to the information found in the first chapters.

Thanks for the info! I will pull the book out again and try to figure out how to do what he'd talking about.  Have you done any of Robert Monroe's stuff? If so, any success?

My pleasure.

Well, I don't like Monroe's methods because I don't want to be dependant on technologies in the first place.

Last time I went out, I had just come back from an astral/dream trip where I was sexually engaged so I was really exhausted but dissociated loose from my body, so I imagined an astral cooking pot a foot or two above my head and that pulled me out of my body.
I had little energy left due to the sexual encounter before and I actually tried to go through the roof and this didn't work because for some reason I expected to pass through an attic first but in reality there is none because my room is directly under the roof) so I sank down onto the floor, blacked out. When I came to myself back in my body I decided to use a more believable way to exit my room so I went out of the body and used the window to fly outside.

There are a few possibilities, one being low energy, another is that you may have too much 'heavy' energy.
One thing to do, (besides doing energy raising [the full body circuit]) is to do a meditation as part of your preprojection practice- to 'drop' water and earth energy, and to take in air and fire energy, and see if this helps you.
I had a similar problem once, tried it and it worked for me.

As to Robert's work being complicated- really?  I use his methods (but with my own slant) so if you need any clarification just ask.

Will you explain what you mean by heavy energy? Also what do you mean by dropping water and earth energy and taking in air and fire energy? What exactly is the process? Thanks

Well, when I do energy work I sometimes work with elements (aka hermetic elements: fire, air, water, earth).  They are handy for meditation and energy work because they qualify the kind of energy you want to work with.

It's too complicated (or long, lol) to go into details, but elements are classified as to the qualities of their names, and some of the qualities have to do with perceived density- so 'water' and 'earth' are the heaviest, while the 'air' and 'fire' are the lightest- this is almost intuitive.
Theoretically energy is neutral, you imbue qualities to it when you assign a 'type' to it, and to 'lighten' your energy body (and not have a 'heavy' projection) so you 'gain' light energy and 'lose' heavy energy.

So the way I do this, is when I am doing my projection practice (which is in the techniques section, don't want to repeat it here) and I have done my preliminary work and am in a light trance (before loosening and exit techs), I do the following visualization:

I center myself and breathe in- as I breathe in, I visualize air coming in through my noise and down through my body.  On the exhale, I picture water going out my heels and into the earth.  Keep doing this a few times since the idea of 'air' in and down, and 'water' out (basically, exhaling out the feet) becomes natural.
Then you can up the ante, and breath 'fire' in through your nose, picture it going through your body and have 'earth' (imagine rocks, or something solid) coming out your heels and into the earth.  If the 'fire' breath gives you trouble, then switch to 'air' in both times, and use either 'water' or 'earth' out.
As you get better at this, feel yourself becoming lighter, feel yourself becoming lighter with each exhale.

Like I said, the explanation seems 'weird', but I did it and it worked for me when I was having 'heavy' projections.

I have similar problems when I project and I agree that it's lack of energy.

When I project, it's often a little hazy if I haven't done any energy work and I have trouble going far before I black out and am back in my body.

A lot of trance induction techniques and energy body loosening techniques are similar to doing the robert bruce energy work.  It's all about using your attention to move energy in your body.  However, I've found that I have the most success when I do my energy work separate from my projection work.  I'll do energy work for 30-60 minutes while meditating or sitting on my couch or something.  Then I'll usually drink some tea and wait for 15 minutes or so and then go project.  It seems that if I do my energy work after I've induced trance it keeps my mind too active and I have difficulty projecting.
be awesome.

I wouldn't necessarily consider being grounded a bad thing.  I always ground myself before I project.  It helps me focus, brings my energy back to center.  I do Chi Kung out by a tree and take on that energy of being rooted but expanding into the heavens.  It helps me a lot.  I am also taking in energy like tree which helps.  Perhaps it's that combination of taking in energy while I'm grounding myself.
