Greetings ZugZug:

Here is a direct copy and paste from Robert's Treatise on OBE which can be found on the main website:

"When you leave your body for the final time, at death, this is what I believe will happen:

You will be projecting, in real time, for the first few days, close to the physical world, until your supply of etheric matter runs out. Then you will go through the second death and enter the Astral dimension. There, you will purge yourself of all desire, by being able to have anything you have ever wanted, in abundance. This is done through having the full use of your subconscious mind's powerful creative ability. Here you can saturate your every need and desire, until you see these desires for the illusions they really are.

You will then shed your Astral (desire body) and enter the Mental dimension. There you will see your past life, examine and express every thought you have ever had and every action you have ever done. There, your thoughts, memories and experiences will be added to the Akashic Record. Which is the recorded experience of the entire human existence in the physical dimension.

Shedding your mental body you will then enter the Buddhic dimension. There you will stay for timeless healing, for rest, atonement, forgiveness and understanding of self. In this world your inner wounds will heal and your soul will be nurtured by divine love. Your spirit will become whole and perfect once more.

Then you will shed your Buddhic body and enter the Atmic dimension. There you will wait in the divine presence for those you love. Then, one day, you will go on to the next level of existence; where the last great mystery of life will be revealed to you...."

Best regards,

Adrian.

You know, Adrian, I was contemplating this very thing last night and trying to internalize it, and starting wondering if perhaps the concepts of "heaven" and "hell" are merely the outlined astral dimensions, with "heaven" being a higher vibratory rate with "hell" being lesser.

It makes sense when you think about the origins of hell according to the Bible.  Lucifer (an angel) and a group of his cohorts attempt to energize themselves to a higher level in an attempt to "overthrow" the Almighty and occupy this place themselves.  Angels and higher-order beings, according to AD, have the ability to plane shift (at least up to the limits of their power).

The rest of the story seems to follow.  God "lowers" their vibratory/astral level (certainly the being at the top of the heap would be able to manipulate its traversal) and banishes them to lower astral levels.

It would also seem to make sense that people at lower levels, when they die, would be able to gain a better energy in order to progress higher.  You only hear about earthbound spirits being lost, angry, and just in a generally disagreeable mood.  The nice spirits will come in the company of angels (that can, of course bring them there).

This may even be a constant whereby higher-ordered beings are capable of modifying the energies of the lesser beings to an extent.  Not really sure - just speculation.  ;)

i have a strong belief that the only existence after death is non existence. its hard to comprehend, but think about it. think about this quote..

Death is how it was like before you were born. You remember how good that was, don't you?

my friend tells me if that's true, than most astral theories cant be true. so therefor my theory must be false. but.. i don't want to live an eternity after this life. that would defeat the whole purpose of even living! hmmmmm VERY confusing

While existing forever could get a little dull I think it would be sort of fun. you could have running jokes with your friends that last
for billions of years! also considering the astral is suposed to be infinate it's not like there's going to be not enough to do and explore. I plan to find/create a nice tropical island where me and all my imaginary friends can start a club and restaurant. Although I'm not fond of the idea of leaving the asrtal because I realize that
desirse are illusions. so? The higher dimensions sound kind of boring really. I'm sure that divine love is nice and all, but I think I'd much rather have jam sessions with Zarbon god of rock and weilder of the life fire. taaa!!

Roger

I used to believe the same thing, Rellik, but I do not anymore.  There is way too much evidence to the contrary.  I think it's like being put in a box as an infant, so much so that you can't even remember the world outside of the cardboard.  ;)  I think OBE is alot like slipping the flaps open for a quick jaunt around outside before you return.
I agree that life, as we experience it now, would be unbearable dull for eternity, but our experience will be nothing like it is now.  I believe that once we leave this mortal coil, we will mix with the stuff of creation itself, to be all and nothing at once, here we will probably continue our spiritual/metaphysical training.

So where does reincarnation come into all this?  I'm a pretty firm believer of that, too.

Thanks for the info, now I'm going to browse the rest of the site again.

Roger

Of course, this is all just conjecture, but perhaps reincarnation is for those who haven't made the spiritual progress to proceed much higher and are brought back for another chance.

RB's belief is that at each astral level, another step is taken to "perfection".  You progress through the stripping of earthly desires, the cleansing of the spirit and so forth.  This makes alot of sense to me as well.

Or perhaps God is the only entity that fully understands and appreciates the interconnectedness of all creation - even the unity of creation and the created.  In that way, He would never be lonely.

Zugzug, if you wish to know more about life after the physical death the best thing I can think of is to practice projecting more, keep an open mind, and explore. You can read all the books you want, and I would suggest doing it too, and study all the religions of the world but you will still have questions and few answers. The answers you seek can be found within more than from without. Meditate and seek for the answers, for it is hard to describe higher planes in physical terms but if you seek you can find understanding.

Like anything, life on any plane will be what you make of it. After you die you can find yourself in "heaven" or "hell", it all depends on what you make of it. Atleast this is what I believe. If one "gets lost" and dwells on the lower emotions of anger, hate, depression, etc. then they willl find themself in such a "world". This maybe their heaven or it maybe their hell. Since each person is different then the first place they go after death with be different for each. Some may enjoy a sunny meadow full of flowers, for another this may be a hell. All will go through these "illusions" until they finally wish to seek more and again turn their attention to higher planes.

As for time, I do not think it will be the same as on the physical. I am not sure that time even exists at all beyond the physical. It will be different than we know it now so it is kind of hard to imagine. Even if it does exist, from what I know it about other planes it would not be very important. I do believe that at the highest level time does not exist.

As for God, I seriously doubt that such a being is an old man with human ways of thinking like it has been portrayed throughout time, atleast Christain history. At the highest plane, "GOD", all things are one. All are united, all are one entity. "God" is everything, is everyone, is everywhere. I am part of God, you are part of God, this computer, the air, the electricity. God is flowing through me, God is all around me. Life force is a word I find better to describe this Being but it seems lacking. I guess all words are lacking.

These are my beliefs and I do not wish to offend anyone. I share so that you will share so that we all will learn.

Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

Hello Zuzug,

To lose someone that was close is always painful. Some people live to ripe old ages, while others do not. I have come to the conclusion that we come here for specific experiences. In order to live and survive here we require a body, and when we have
completed our assignment so to speak, which could take one hundred years or just one breath, we return to where we initially came from, discarding the body that was used just like you would stepping out of a car, bus or aeroplane etc.,

From our experiences and lessons learned or not! We return and move to a vibration that we resonate with.

All good wishes,
Barbara

I agree with this belief as well...in fact I would go as far as to say that this is THE truth, but don't take my word for it!http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

If you don't like the idea of immortality and the quest for perfection, well, I don't know what to tell you.  I guess I echo that which others have written here, which is: keep an open mind, stay positive and thirst after the truth...

I read the book Astral Dimensions, and there was a very little bit in it about death.  Someone close to me has recently died and I'm just interested in anything.  I firmly believe that something is after death... I've left my body a couple times.

Any info is good.  Thanks.

DriftingConscience

This thread has had some interesting views in the past. I wonder what the current concensus is on this debate.

Robert Bruce alludes to the principle of self perfection as one transcends into the higher planes, but the question that still remains unanswered, is from which plane does one come back to the phyiscal for reincarnation. Can it be any, and if so does that impact on the type of reincarnation, or is reincarnation confined from a specific plane.

Interesting...
