Will death be easy for us?

Seeing as how we're so used to the idea of detaching from the body anyway and also being at peace with physical death. Now of course there is the possibility of a painful demise but besides that, will death simply feel like phasing or drifting away into realms already familiar to us?

Asi911

That's what the rumors say  :-D

Seriously, i sure hope so, but i guess that only someone who died can trully answer this question.

You may view it as when you go to sleep. You are not being afraid of sleep. Death is just another transition point.

Stookie

The difference between AP and death is that after you die, you can't come back to the physical. And that might cause all kinds of feelings even a frequent AP'er might not be ready for. But you'll never know until the dirt nap.

Also, one of the nice things is that you can prepare yourself mentally for when you do make the pass permanently.
You can setup a nice place for yourself beforehand so you'll have familiar surroundings to "die into", sort to speak.  LoL

The way Frank describes it is that Focus 22 (where we dream and lucid dream) you can create something using thought energy, but it won't hold it's form, or it won't be "permanent".
However, once you get around Focus 27, which is after the belief territories (where those religious fanatics put themselves), you come across a state where what you create is quite 'permanent'.  So you can create something and then come back to it at a later time during another projection and it'll still be there.
Focus 27 is on the outskirts of our Earth-life system.

So... when you're comfortable there, you can create for yourself a little "home" where you can call your home base.  Then when your physical body expires here, you not only know what you're doing, but you have a nice place where you can go to and be around familiar things.

Focus 27, I believe, is also where the Astral Pulse Island resides... it would have to, or it wouldn't be very permanent.  :)

I think death is going to be an exciting transition, maybe more reassurring for those of us who KNOW there is an afterlife, and not just believe  :-)
for now I try not too look forward to it too much and enjoy the life I was given here  :-)
Bring into play the divine within you, so on the stage of life you can fulfill your high destined role.

The concept of an afterlife is somewhat selfish, no?  It seems like people cannot grasp what it means to not exist, or are terrified of the idea.  Afterlife puts to ease our fear of extinguished existence.  And seriously , who wants to live eternally? Are there any guarantees that life after death is any better?

Not if everything/everybody is included! :-D

Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of having an OBE is the loss or lessening of the fear of death.  Until I had my first one, this notion was just an abstract idea, but now it is a living feeling.  I cannot account for this and so I simply accept it.  The point is that death definitely isn't the fearful thing that I was taught to believe, but rather something else, something very unexpected, and yes, even unknown.  The issue here is losing the fear of the unknown.

See you on the other side!

What happens if you experience a very violent and gruesome end?

Because I read somewhere that people slept (or something like that) if they had experienced a traumatic life.

What do you mean when you say "slept" ? I don't get it..  :|

cpt. picard

I believe what he meant by "slept" was that following death, the spirit experiences a period of uncounciousness, as opposed to being councious and disembodied.

Jerry_Teps

Yeah, I forget where I read it, but it was something like that, not in the literal sense of the word "sleep".

Actually, it was one of Frank's posts you read that.
He was taken to "The Park" (in Focus 27) by one of his Guides.  And he noticed here that there were a lot of children running around, being playful and such.
But he also noticed several people "asleep" under the trees.  They had died rather horrible deaths and weren't ready to accept what or where they were now.  So they slept until the time came for them to accept and relearn how to have fun.

This affected Frank greatly... but nothing prepared him for what he found out next.  He learned that one of the sleeping children was actually himself.  :)

In any case, Jerry... to answer your question about a violent, gruesome death.
I think it would depend upon what kind of belief system the individual had.  If they were heavily religious, even if the death was violent, they would probably end up in the Belief Territories in whatever system mirrored their beliefs, in which case they would end up judging themselves.

If they had no beliefs, I guess they would be quite surprised to find that they're "still conscious"...

Frank and Monroe both came across many people in this manner... some were "stuck" reliving their last moments.  War scenes turned into vast landscapes of blood and such.  Such people are seen with missing limbs and/or broken bodies... because they don't realize that they can fix that immediately.

In any case, those of us who know what to expect can by pass all that regardless of the type of death.  This, is what I feel is one of the best things about projection.  It really sets you up nicely for when it's your time to pass.  :)

What exactly do you mean by guide?  Other Astral Projectors, or people who have moved on from life?  Also. what is their purpose?

personalreality

The truth is we can't really know the experience of death until we do it.  We can project and we can meet dead people or guides that tell us what it's all about.  But until we experience it we can't know.  It's just the nature of things.  That's the whole point, to experience from your infinitely unique scale and position (perspective).  The way each of us experiences death will be unlike any experience of death that any one in our past present or future has ever experienced.  That's a good thing though.  We are all pioneers in death.

Nevertheless, it's inevitable.  Unavoidable.  From the moment you were born you were stalked by your death.  Read Carlos Castaneda.

Don Juan told Carlos that if he looked over his left shoulder fast enough he would catch a glimpse of his own death stalking him.

I've said it before, I'll say it again....

Do a forum search for posts from "Frank" and do the search on the word "Harath".
You'll find everything you wanna know.  :)

Farther

Whenever I project I have a lot of questions about death. It seems to be the main focus when I project. While projecting, I've asked my guide why I keep getting these feelings of death, such as "am I being prepared to die soon?" and the feeling I get is "no" but it still worries me a little. I believe that what we see is more like when you see somebody through a shower door; translucent but you can make out enough. When you die, the translucence becomes a lot clearer.

I'll agree with that version of the statement :)

I read somewhere that if you spend 5 minutes on one of the higher astral planes you'll never wanna come back to this world again.

I believe that, so for me death will (hopefully) be a piece of cake
