Bright flash

Yesterday while trying to induce OBE, I think I got a little further than normally, I couldn't feel my legs (but could move them), from time to time I felt a strange vibration. More than hour elapsed from the time I started, when I suddenly saw a bright white flash in the centre of my vision! This kinda freaked me out, sure it wasn't very motivating. Is this a normal "symptom"? If so I can try to overcome it, but if you never know when it happens... I simply cannot ignore it. I think I'll take a break for awhile

i think they are normal. I get them quite often but generally put it down to hypnagogic imagery, try to keep your focus past them.

It might just be your third eye opening up.  Mabe, because I read that when you open your third eye, you see an overwelmingly bright light.

If you want to astral project, get used to weird & unexplained things like that. At first it's easy to get excited, scared, or overwhelmed. But after a while these things become very normal. Sooner or later, you'll get passed them and into the astral and you won't care what happened.

I don't normally attempt to figure out what these things are when they happen to me. First off, it's near impossible to say exactly what it is. Second, as the person who experienced it, you're the only one who can say what it was. Everyone else can only assume what you experienced.

Last night as I was going to sleep (not an AP attempt) my vision was filled with a bright, kinda fuzzy light, almost like TV fuzz, accompanied with a terribly loud sound. Unprepared, it scared the bejeezus out of me, then I laughed at myself for about 5 minutes before falling asleep. These things happen more and more.

Is it possible that this "flash" isn't necessarily a visual one?  Last night, I felt stunned briefly, like I was hit in the head.  Right after that happened, I felt something I haven't felt before.  I have never successfully conciously projected but I think I was actually on the verge but it took me by such great suprise, I lost focus.

Though, I did laugh afterwards.

That sounds like a third-eye strobe.  It happens when a lot of meditating or energy work is done in that area.  Any headaches?
Like Stookie said, get used to weird stuff.  If you haven't been doing any third-eye work, try grounding meditations.  But they are not dangerous, just irritating and (in my case) give me headaches (or used to, I no longer do any third-eye work).

Hey if you don't do anymore third eye work but still OBE, how you do it then? Because I have also definitely seen that bright flash... So that is probably iäm now so sensitive to strange sounds and stuff

Yes, you can still see those bright flashes if you don't do third eye/energy work anymore, as you may still be open to it from previous work. They will most likely fade away over time...However, if you would like to project, keep on practicing; eventually you'll work through them and get used to them.

whenever my brow chakra/third eye is active in the dark (eyes open and closed) i get a bright white strobe that pulses really fast and just continues to do so... sometimes covering only parts of my vision... and if i raise enough energy and focus it there i will still be able to see the strobe in a lighted room.

is this similar? it kinda weirds me out.

One day I experienced, that when i closed my eyes, i still saw very clearly some class room and benches immediately i closed my eyes What is this? Was it so that i became conscious of it or something? Anyway, i freaked out and opened my eyes in that instant... I was pretty tired that time too so maybe it was some sort of hallucination?

I had a similar experience, I was laying in bed when suddenly I saw a bright flash of white light along with a buzzing sound, similar to the sound of high voltage. It lasted but a second and frightened me so that my heart was beating very fast. This all happened during the day.

i've had that strobing for a while now... a few months before i knew about chakras or anything like this but the occurance of it was fairly rare. now that i've started doing all this stuff i noticed when it turns on and off. too much so to be a coincidence...
