How many of you all go visit people you actually know? And have the instances been where you were both aware, and remembered it all after you awoke?

After reading and hearing other people's views on this I'm now more confused about it lol. Like some people say when you talk to or visit people you know, it's just their subconscious. I don't fully get that, does that mean every thing you say or ask them, would be the truth and what they really think?

Once while lucid dreaming I visited my friend's house.  She told me later that day that she had seen me floating around her ceiling right after she got up...when she was awake.

^^Yes! There are many reports like this and something along these lines happened with me when I visited a friend of mine. The visited seems to become more perceptive to us (in the OOBE-state) when they are either waking up, daydreaming or meditating. It's as though they are still partially conscious of that other reality that we are fully conscious of in the OOBE-state.

I posit that when the visited become partially aware of our presence in some form or other, their brainwaves are correlating with the relevant frequencies. In daydreaming, for example, the waves go from Beta to Alpha.

I have a few times.  My first OBEs were identified as such because I went places and saw people in real time, and were verified.  That's what got me looking into it.

like what do you mean, your telling me she actually saw you floating around in reality? i dont understand how thats possible.

What I mean is that while awake in her body in the physical she looked at me and saw my energy body floating around.  All levels of existence are a part of reality so what happened there I think was just a focus overlay.  People see ghosts all the time so why not?  That's essentially what you are while astral projecting.  She said when she opened her eyes after waking up her cat was on the foot of her bed staring intently at a corner of the ceiling, so she looked there too and saw me for a few seconds before I disappeared.  The odd thing is I don't remember actually making it to her house.  That exact location she said she saw me in was where I was arbitrarily aiming for though.  I had just remembered my alarm clock waking me up before I actually got there.  But her mentioning it to me like that was an almost impossible coincidence so I guess a part of me was there for at least a few seconds, or my memory could have been flawed.  That happens all the time, actually most of the time I think for nonphysical experiences.

Do you ever have dreams where your friend looks like someone else, but actually, when you think about it when you wake up, you realise it was them?

I had a dream last night where I was riding on a train, and I didn't know the woman in my carriage, but I felt later that it must have been my friend.

Spookily... there were ruins and burned out cars, and my seat came off in my hands at the end of the ride... so I wonder if it had anything to do with Japan too...

Can somebody just please explain in detail, im just more confused than ever to who i actually see now in the OB state. Am i just seeing the persons subconcious, or is it actually them? or do i just create the people at the moment.

The reason I must know because my last OB was about an hour long, and it involved me talking to my family members for about half of it. Who the hell was i talking to my actual persons in RTZ or their subconscious? or what

Well it's my belief (and I will post many examples when I have time) that we have several "minds" operating at the same time on all the different planes or focus levels of existence.  So when you project in the RTZ to someone you know, and have a conversation with them, you are actually talking to the "mind" which is operating at the same plane or focus level, that you are operating on.  This means that you can have a long conversation, and the person you conversed with may have no physical memory of it. But you still talked to that person.

In the same way, it is possible for you to be going about your normal business (physically) and to pop out of your body and have a lucid experience, whilst your physical body continues to do what it is doing. When you re-enter your body you either carry back your OBE memories and remember that you popped out, or else these memories never make it back to your physical mind and you have no recollection (physically) of having been OBE. I can find many examples of this in the literature and one day I will post a few.

It can be any of those possibilities and it's rather hard to tell which one.  One good way to tell if who or what you're talking to OOB is an independent entity is to pay closer attention to how they act.  If it's just a manifestation of your subconscious your mind is controlling them and they'll act and respond to you only how you would expect them to, so withdraw yourself from their actions and become objective, just wait to see how they act.  If they're just a manifestation of your subconscious they will become rather lifeless and blank when you withdraw from them, but if they're a separate entity their behavior won't change any.  It will be consistent and unpredictable just like when talking to a real person.  Before you try this you should intentionally become as lucid as you can so that you can think straight.  Many people simply say something like "lucidity now!" to achieve this.  I tried this one time when I spontaneously astral projected from an afternoon nap and found myself talking with my sister.  When I withdrew from the conversation and just waited to see what she would say and do, she stopped doing anything and just kind of stood there with a blank expression.  If you determine that who/what you're talking to isn't just a part of you then the only way I can think of to tell if it's the conscience of who you think it is is to ask them if they remember later.  If they don't then it could be that they just forgot, or that it was an unconscious aspect of their mind, or even another entity just pretending to be them.  Sorry if that's a little vague but the Spirit World tends to be extremely subjective so it's hard to tell what's really happening.
