yes
Anyone who has remembered a dream can say they astral traveled.
There are just too many unexplained things in the world to not believe it might be possible.
DOA
yes and yes and YES![:P]
and very nice way of puting the questions!
Yes I would, cause it's not logical to doubt it. But I maybe would start questioning it if I would fail over and over again, even if that isn't logical as well......
To me, if anyone gives themselves the slightest chance of believing in it, they "open the door" in this way, which will enable them to enjoy such travels consciously in the future. It is sometimes enough to think intensely about it; sooner or later it always comes...[;)]
Well, I would say yes...because there are too many things that you cannot explain in a logical way. Otherwise...who know that these "Astral Travels" are real and not just the result of your imagination? I think it is very hard to tell...
On the other hand I'm someone who didn't experience OBE's with a conscious mind, yet.
I will try it sometime in the future because the things I've heard about this Topic are extremely fascinating to me.
Well, I have to go now...but this should be enough for now.
I have had OBEs. I had one that I recall before I ever knew what it was. So from the time I found out about OBEs I knew they were possible so it is kind of hard to actually say. I think that if I had never had one I would still believe they were possible, though I might be more skectical until I actually had one. After reading on this site I think I would lean towards them being real.
Nah
I wouldn't disbelieve either
I think beliefs are stupid. Just like me :)
If I hadnt seen other paranormal stuff and had only astral traveled, I would think I was crazy.
Proving a negative (e.g. there is no astral) is impossible. You can only prove it exists or that there is a lack of evidence. And since this forum shows plenty of anegdotal evidence . . .
Prove that gay purple dinosaur called barney isnt a real dinosaur. This shows the uselessness of requiring a negative to be proved before you believe it.
pick up a few maths books, and you'll see travelinbob is right, beavis.
This topic reminds me of something Frank mentioned in a post a while back. Your ability to experience astral projections is a function of your willingness to believe. It sounds pretty far fetched at first, but when you realise that the doubts that linger in your mind are adversely affecting your progress, it starts to make sense !
Clandestino: exactly, exactly! Best expressed.[^]
Yes! well said Clandestino..[:D]
Nay. [;)]
I know calculus 3. How is math relevant?

I think it is more a philisophical theory than a mathematical one but but it goes like this.
You would not prove by testing one purple dinosaur and proving he is not a real dinosaur that there are no dinosaur's named barney that are purple that exist out there. (Bad grammar I know) You have proven that particular dinosaur you have and are testing is not a real one. In order to prove there are no purple dinosaurs that dance out there you'd have to find every single dinosaur shaped thing that is dancing and test it.
The reason it is impossible to prove is it is always conceivable there is a purple colored dinosaur in some far away cave dancing that you will never find. That is why you can not prove a negative.
Its the same thing with santa. Grab one up at the mall and find his real identity. It doesnt prove there is no such thing as santa only that that particular one isnt Santa.
Now you can find something that people didnt think existed and if you show it to them.. bam it exists. However, in order to prove a negative IE. "There are no pink frogs with long braided hair" out there you would have to search every single place on earth. You would have to prove there are no places out there that this could exist. People can not prove there are no UFO's they can only point to holes in the proof there are. Since everyone knows we haven't searched everywhere.. etc.. etc. As long as there is a conceivable place they could be you cant prove they dont exist.
I like your theory goingslow [^]
And yes I belive in AP and OBE even I have never experienced one myself.
It is impossible to prove almost anything, so I do not require absolute proof to believe something. If you say I cant prove something, SO WHAT?
i believe in it even though i have never OBE before
Interesting. I thought there would have been more people who wouldn't believe it was really, and thought that we were all liars.
As I stated before. I didn't believe it was possible, until I was given the gift. Now that I have done it several times, I have gained so much, and my horizons have broadened tenfold.
There are lots of people that dont believe OBE exists, and they dont come here.
Read the topic "The Ascension". The marks in my arm are enough proof for me that the Astral Plane is real.
I wonder where the people who don't belive in Astral Travel go?
My first OBE happened 12 years ago [:O]and at the time I simply thought I was DYYYING!!! I was so scared! No one would convince me it was just my imagination...
It is natural that many people who have not had an OBE would question whether it is real. Yet, as a person who has had several OBEs, I feel no need to prove the legitamacy of projections to anybody.
It is really great to have the ability to go out of body. If another person can not or will not make a serious effort to believe in the OBE phenomena then that is their loss. Not mine.
This why 'providing proof' and arguing/debating with skeptics is a complete waste of time and energy. I learned that a long time ago the hard way. Concentrate on what you can do and communicate with people who are interested and open minded. That is the best way to increase your ability.
[:D]
yeah, I thought my head was going to explode when I first started getting them. That is how intense the vibrations were. I could only explain it to people as an Intense Heated Wind. Yeah, pretty scary when you first start.
I've had several OOBE's so it's a moot point for me.
At first I was rather skeptical as to the "leaving ones body part" being that my religion has always been science in the past.
I did several experiments to see what the deal was and found that I could indeed see what items where on a table in another room in my home without forehand knowledge of those items.
I have oobe's spontaneously at night while sleeping the most. I've only been able to project myself out 4 or 5 times. All of my oobe's are very short. Usually only a minute. This bugs the heck outta me because I have alot of things I wanna learn and do.
Then again I'm a pretty negative person so maybe I need more positive juice.. Donno still tryin....

I think mine were very short when I first started. As time goes by, and you have more, and more, you get better experienced, and are able to stay out longer.[:)]
What I learned thru time is that you need to be fully convinced and positive about what you're doing, otherwise you are more likely to fail. My biggest problem during my fully conscious projections was the doubt - I could't really imagine myself existing out of my physical body, which led to failures at the vibrations stage. Those doubts can be a big deterrent.
BASH BASH BASH
(this the sound of my head banging against the wall, because i can't project myself yet...[B)])
I was thinking that people experiencing OBE without any knowledge of the astral projection thing must be really frightened and thinking they are dying...i fear that this "taboo" on A.P must have send some unfortunate people in asylum...[V]
I am not in an asylum yet but wish i could project...please send me some of your good vides [|)]
i cant get out there yet but im a beleiver! if i didint beleive in anything i couldnt do then i dont think id beleive in anything at all! [:I] la foret mauve, i read your other post, i think it was about being disturbed while trying to exit? same happens here, im sure my family 'know' and subconiously stop me! i once got so far i was sure i was just exiting when i heard a womans voice call 'heellllooooooooo' at that exact moment the baby screamed 'mummy!' in a frightened voice. this i m,ust admit put me off for a while but ill prob try again later! i think that answers the question!
Would you believe in Astral Travel, if you couldn't do it?
Or.
Would you/do you believe in Astral Travel if you *can't* do it?
For me. I wouldn't believe in it, if I couldn't do it. In fact, I didn't believe in it before I started doing it (which was by accident).
So, I pass it to you...
Would you believe in Astral Travel, if you couldn't do it?
