One of the things that stopped me before to have a OBE was using my computer!

....So i wonder if any of you is affected by not having a successful OBE. by using a computer everyday?????

I only have access to the internet for one week out of every 4. My projection attempts actually go better during that week. It's probably because most of the time I spend online is reading about astral experiences and projection techniques.

Ooh, I just had an idea. I'm going to see if I can write a program that will regularly flash subliminal affirmations on my screen.

Actually, when I go to bed after having read up on astral projection on the computer or on an e book, it really does not matter if I think about whatever I read , but I remain in the 'right frame of mind' and I get to meditate more successfully.

Are you asking if using a computer is detrimental to our ability to OBE?

I actually think it is... but in a good, positive way!
I would never have come as far as I have if not for the internet!

You seem to be alluding to electromagnetic smog.

In the metaphysical circles, protection from EM smog is kind of a big thing.  Robert Bruce does mention it in AD as well.

I often worry that holding my laptop in my lap is going to give me testicular cancer.....i can almost feel them aching....

I personally think that EM is used to tamper with consciousness.  You know Tesla discovered an electrical wavelength that can easily manipulate the thoughts of all life?  (HAARP anyone?)

There are a lot of crystals that are supposed to help.

I make video games (software developer) so I'm on my computer at least 8 hours everyday. I oobe about 4 times a week. Kinda burning out on oobeing actually... the glue between me and my body seems very unsticky recently --- I can pop out too easily.  Might have something to do with stress... kinda over doing it on the computer... so when I lay down I am usually straight out the door.

Actually, on a side note... you should never use a laptop on your lap because it increases the ambient temperature of certain male body parts... this has the KNOWN effect of greatly lowering sperm count.

That's why you should only use a computer for what you need and not be on all day long. I do have to use one for my job, but for my personal use I would say normally about 30 minutes to an hour a day, with a couple exceptions now and then (one reason I keep my posts short). Then maybe 30 minutes total on the weekend. If I have time. Cell phones are killing us too. I'm not exactly sure how, but I'm pretty sure they are detrimental to society. Especially with the more features they keep getting.

I'm big on experiencing real life. Nature and life is much cooler than looking at an LCD several hours a day. Computers are just tools for processing information.
