Well the thing is, is that your spirit could not make the apes brain have a larger capasity or have the ability to comprehend the world in the same way a human does. Therefore you could not make it intelligent and if you possesed it you would have the same thinking abilties as that ape (becasue of the brain you posess) therefore you could not control it very well.

I agree Nick.  The only would be through possesion, because their brains just do not have the capacity.
