Something weird happened the other night

I was sleeping and I woke up only to see a shape of a man bending over my bed.  I was startled and made a sound in kind.  It literally disappeared.  It kind of exploded and was gone.

I moved into my home in May of this year, and until then I haven't experienced anything strange.

I don't know what or who it was, but it looked like a shadow and I don't know what it was doing there, but it really freaked me out.

I know this would be a hard question to answer considering the situation of the encounter but are you able to recall any type of feeling or emotion from the presence itself? the possiblities could be either you imagined the shadow as a projection of your thoughts from a dream. however I do think that it the case because it sounds like you woke up because of the shadow and if thats the case theres a chance it was your own thoughts manifested in this realm. if it was a ghost chances are it will make a reappearance to you. my suggestion to be would be to not focusyour mind on the ghost if you dont want to see it again because if you do chances are you will encounter it again and startle you again. This is all speculation as .is everything else but keep me and everyone else posted if it happens again.

Hmm, let me see.  It was curious or something?  I'm not sure, but I know that I woke up, looked over, and saw it then I kinda yelled and sat up straight.  Then it disappeared.  I forgot that part above.

One thing I thought of was that I lost a friend of mine unexpectedly about a month and a half ago.  I live in Maryland and he was up in Michigan.  It didn't feel like him, so I don't know.

Stuff like this has happened to me before, so I'm wondering.  In 1995, my aunt died in her sleep and around 1 am in the morning I woke up with a strong presence in my room and I waved my arm and said go away, go away.  The next day I found out that she had died.  I'm certain that she came back to say goodbye, and I only wish that I didn't tell her to go.

This was really strange though, because of the way it exploded.  I've never seen that before.  It really was gone after that, so I don't know.

It could have a been a hypnopompic hallucination (those that occur after one wakens up). They are pretty common and mean no harm, it's just us readjusting our senses to the physical world, so in the meantime we can get some 'astral interferences'.

It could also have been some conscious energy that was in the house, I've had the same thing happen to me a few days after we moved here. 'Woken up' in trance and felt a bad energy in my room, so I demanded it to go away. It never happened again. 

People told me the family that lived here lost their son in a car accident, and they decided to rent the house cause it reminded them a lot of him.
