look at it from the other side... whatever the lumps are,  your body recognized them forming, and converted them into your dream/paralysis content.

I once dreamed... that I had some discomfort in a certain area and I told my friend, and it felt like I had a tick or some sort of growth on me... well...

when I woke up, I don't think anything was there, but exactly one day later it appeared in the EXACT SAME PLACE as it was in the dream, only on the opposite side... and it felt exactly the same.

My guess was it started forming that night, hence, transitioned into my dream.

My guess is the same happened to you.

You shouldn't have lumps on your spine though, I'd get that looked at.

I hate to say it, but the strange growths could be negative entity attachments, especially in the region of the spine.

Sounds like you might have a problem.

Robert Bruce describes such things in his book,...is there anyway you can draw a religious symbol, or have someone draw a religious symbol on the growths to see what happens. That can often help.

In all honesty, I would stop APing until this situation is resolved. You could make your situation worse.

the "attacker" you feel might just be you feeling those lumps forming.

I have felt ice cold hands,but the spirit only wanted comfort from me.
I doubt if this spirit,who touches your back,wants comfort.

i've felt a great deal number of things that "could" have been a spirit, but they were not. they were all physical phenomena, though one with less curiosity than myself may have just immediatly chalked it up to a spirit, i took the time to find out what was causing them: rarely was it a spiritual being (compared to the number of times it wasn't).

but still, i strongly suggest you go see a doctor sue: if they can actually fix the problem with the lumps, then that is good. if they can't, then perhaps turn to metaphysical means.

That is the main problem with most new age followers and others who get into the occult.
They lack the training to tell if it is truly a spirit or just some mundane thing.
When a spirit touches you there is no doubt that it is a spirit.

Negative spirits can cause all types of physical problems.

Thanks everyone, I've read about conjurations to dispel evil entities. Hopefully, they'll do the trick! I've got a theory myself; the first time it happened could have been anything (an entity, my mind etc)but the next time I remembered it and so centred my awareness there and since you are already in the Astral my subconscious made me think it was actually happening again, when it was in my mind. The tiny growths I feel are either normal or they are harmless. I'm not a negative person so I doubt they are attachments. None of us know anything really, hey? []

Sue, I think you are right on track, when you say you are not a negative person.  I think if one continually thinks about encountering a negative in the astral..well, you can bet you're gonna see one.

Keep that postive outlook and I think you will have some wonderful experiences. []

P.S. When I am just about out of my physical I always see a woman standing there, first couple times scared me, not because of anything she did..it was all my fear.  Still not sure if it is a projection of myself, a guide, or whatnot, but I know she is not there to hurt me.

Whenever I'm between the physical and the Astral and I'm paralysed  in bed, I don't get afraid because I know it's part of the sleep process but two out of three times there is another entity with me. I always feel someone touching my back (I sleep on my stomach) and it feels very uncomfortable. Sometimes it hurts and the nerves in my spine jerk me awake. This has happened lots of times. One time I clearly felt two hands on my back that were ice cold, this sent unpleasant shivers all over me. Anyway, it's becoming a problem because it's ruining my Astral experiences. Also, a while ago i noticed 2 small lumps on my spine, these are like tiny growths exactly where I feel the attacker on me. This cannot be a coincidence, it has to be harming my body.
Any feedback would be great as I'm getting worried.
