If the theory about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroplasticity (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroplasticity) is correct, there is a possibility for everyone to develop psychic abilities.
If you lack the ability in one part of the brain, some other part can take over, under the assumption that the access to psychic abilities is controlled from the brain.
This makes me continue practice OBE attempts. :)
I don't believe these abilities are for "special" people.
I've always believed that anyone *IS* psychic.
Astral Projection is often considered to be a psychic ability.
Honestly, I believe that everyone has the capability to be psychic. Why some people are born psychic and others are not, I do not know. Psychic ability isn't like physical beauty where if you are born with cool, and if your not then you just don't have it. Keep working on them and I think you'll get somewhere 8-)
If there such a thing as astral maturity I'm belonging to the part of the Earth's population who is very psychic underdeveloped or astral immature. I have had very few experiences if at all of super-natural sort. I think this goes for quite a big part of all people.
I wonder, when people are OBE are there any kind of practice or exercise that really will improve your abilities?
When in the physical how do you do to improve your astral senses? Can the exercises be described at all?
I'm not just thinking a doing various practices to AP/OBE, as they are described in several ways or by use of Hemi-Sync sound.
I'm hoping for exercises like playing a flute, which is a simple repetition of finger movements.

Mindfulness and energy work (starting with awareness targeting) Those are the exercises I'm doing.
Everybody is psychic and sensitive..but the degree of which, depends on both your naturally potential and how much you develop it and work with it..just like an artistic pursuit, singer, athlete or anything else worth doing...
Some people have it easier then others. They are either born with it, or it awakens at an important point in there life.(Just the right time.) I know a very Clairvoyant/Clauridient woman and she is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She has strengthened my belief in the metaphysical and life after death with the things shes able to see and verify for me.
I agree AP is a form of Psychic ability as well. Everyone is psychic but most individuals have an affinity for one certain ability over another, Rarely you will find someone who's just about good at everything.
If someone takes the time to work on there abilitys though the rewards are well worth it.

Yes its like software in the way it can be used as a system of statistics and fuzzy logic, but its very confusing to use it directly that way. That's why I'm designing a higher-level interface to it in the Java programming language, which will access it using realtime generated music and mouse movements as the user-interface to a psychology and artificial intelligence software. If psychic stuff is like software, then I'm a hacker. Instead of using it as it is, 1 software to 1 brain, I think a lot of people would like to try some peer-to-peer networks and other grid software. That is 1 part of a large project I'm designing:
