It sounds to me like the entities you're encountering are semi-dissociated parts of yourself.  Cords coming from the solar plexus are usually attached to thought-forms of one's own creation, and energy from that chakra, in my experience, is one-way.  As in, you're the dominant force, and they need your energy to survive.  Like light from the sun.  In dreams and other astral visitations, a house (especially one where you live or used to live) is almost always representative of the person.  You are the house, and when you're inside the house, you're exploring your interiors, and meeting the various demons and complexes and parts of your Self.

That's most likely why the know you so well, and can make you react.  Are they the same entities every time?  Try to pay attention to what they say to you to make you react.  Whatever they use to get at you is probably their own little territory, and they use it to get a certain type of energy from you.  If you feel like they're hiding behind people familiar to you, they may have some kind of connection to your perceptions of each individual person.

The fact that you wake up in the middle of these visits makes me think that you're trying to work out inner conflicts at night, with the various demons of your personality.  A lot of times simply acknowledging what each one represents, and how they're attempting to manipulate you (get energy from you) will help tremendously in dealing with them.  If they bother you on the astral in the environment you described, then they probably do the same thing while you're awake, but in a more subtle manner.  

Invoking Christ or Spirit (or whatever deities you work with) generally puts demons in order, because their purpose for existence is to obey higher powers.  It's only through deception and fear that they can weasel out of their place and make things hard for you.

If they are fear based thoughtforms they should be very very easy to push away.
I feel that these might be real demons.
If they are real demons, they might have a bit of a hold on you if you have been using them for information.

Sometimes christian prayers will work on these things,but I have seen demons that only get an angry look on their face when a prayer is spoken.
23rd psalm and Lord's prayer seem to work okay,but usually you have to say them over and over again.
Solar crosses and banishing pentagrams work.

More than likely they have an energy hook in your base chakra or solar plexus.

Best thing to do is call on an archangel for help.

Sounds like youve seen the movie called "THEY". If not then don't watch it, you're already too scared. In the Goetic tradition of King Solomon there are 72 primary demons and they have legions beneath them, one is to connect with ones Holy Gaurdian Angel and reign each of these 72 demons in and force them to submit. I myself have had similar dreams in which demons are coming for me, one turned its head and said "i'll be back for you". I was a xian back then, now that I am somewhat versed in magic I realize it speaks of my work to connect with my HGA and reign these little bastards in.

RB says that death is a far more complex experience than we really know or understand. They can't get you after death. It's the one release.

Perhaps some astral warriors can help you. There are a couple in these forums, watching everything. Try the Abode of the Lion group. Perhaps they can open some options for you.

Remember this- No matter how ancient a race, it can never overcome love. Love is the single most potent weapon against these entities. I had a hard time believing it for the longest time, but I have now made some important connections between love and our health. A lot of entities back off when you start raising love energy. Even the powerful ones.

One thing you should never feel is anger or fear. You must rid yourself of these emotions and become zen-like. Flow like water. If you know how to fight in the astral, you should be okay. But remember that the key to winning the fight is having more energy and being more innovative than the enemy.

First Let me thank you for responding.

I do belive these are real demons.  I am familiar with the energies and the same one will hide behind various family members and friends.  I have tried prayers and mantras which just  seem to annoy them.  I started bringing crystals on to the astral plane to battle, shooting them with thought forms and energy like anger and love.  They just seemed to feed of off those so now I just use the crystals to fire light at them, this seems to work well, sometimes burning them.  I do also tear the experience apart for the symbolism and this is of course always beneficial, but these are not just dreams about my self, if they are I must be a pretty evil and scary guy.  I will definately check out THEY, I'm ahuge movie fan, sounds interesting.  They don't really frighten meso much as they tinkle me off, which they love so I'm trying to curb that.  Mostly I just want to stop waking up there, there's so much more to do on the astral plane than having to deal with those things.  I will try the solar crosses and pentagrams. []

My experience exactly. The question at this point though is how do you summon up love when you are floating in a sewer with some lifeforms that you really want to hate?

My strategy is that during odd times when I have a few minutes to meditate, I think about what it means to love as God loves....and I hold the thought and resonate my whole being with it. It gradually  manifests to me like a crimson, pink, white flame or glow of energy and it engulfs me. I amplify it by just continuing to vibe with it. It helps me to say a little mantra over and over like, "I am God's purest, divine Love" in order to stay focused and to amplify and gather the energy. At the close, I condense all that energy into a little vial and store it in my heart chakra for later. With practice, you can summon this energy at will to use.

So in battle, you can look upon your attackers and pull this power out by holding a steady thought of ultimate compassion and sympathy for their sorry, sorry existence. You can't use it like hurling stones in anger. But this is soooo much better than a stone. It's like white hot lava to them. Pour this light out of your heart chakra like a wide beam laser. Watch the results and modulate it into pulses if that works better. I like to form it into dense, rapidly moving walls which emanate away from me and buffet the dark ones, consuming their hatred. While this is happening I'm in a state of bliss.

The demons know that this blindingly bright, pink-white light will consume the darkness surrounding them. And the point in all this is that there is a lifestream inside that little demon body who can still turn and serve God. But they can't if they're enslaved within the layers and layers of darkness and their habits and momentums of hatred and malintent. And you're just willing them to be free from their little prisons. You're not hating them and wishing they were dead. For this to work you must have a momentum of resonating your whole being, like a tuning fork, to a flood of love and compassion.

Psiclone, in order to use a technique like this, you need to practice a little first. Don't underestimate the need to build up this energy ahead of time. They will try to break you with fear but you've got to be so loaded with his frequency of vibration that you're just surfing on a wave of it. Use mantras while releasing it too. The demons will either get the hell out of there and stay away, or if they're arrogant and stupid (what's the difference?) they WILL have their little tooties burned.

 What you have described sounds like a beautiful, shield and weapon against evil.  I will definately use this technique.  I will try to store the energy for quite a while before I resort to it.  I think the little devils will be in for quite a shock when I am ready to use it.[]
