Are you referring to spirit communication or something else?
As to whether anyone can do these things, some suggest that anyone can learn the skills but others will point out that anyone can play the piano but many can only do it so badly that that might as well not do it unless they enjoy pressing black and white keys. We each have talents and then must acquire the skills to exercise those talents well. Not everyone has the talents they would like to have.
If you are wishing to communicate with spirit, I'd strongly suggest that you contact a spiritualist church. If you don't have a natural affinity for "spooky stuff" then you might be leaving yourself open to the influences of lower energies. Either way, you'll likely be best off finding some local mediums to advise you.

Sitting in the power (a form of meditation) will awaken them naturally and also by practicing the use of those abilities because your psychic is like a muscle and the more you use them them stronger thy will get.

I dont agree, im sure the comment is meant well but intuition is a natuarl part of ourselves and our spiritual evelution.
Our very nature remains improsined by the five senses untill we awaken to our god given intuoition and begin to awaken to what life really is. Not a toy...but a joy :-) blessings x

Natural ability does play into this some. A 5' 4" man may have some talent at basketball but he ain't likely to get a scholarship or play pro NBA even if he is really very good.
Robert Monroe asked the Inspec why he was able to go OBE nearly at will and he was the envy of many who tried but failed so much, yet he couldn't see auras and stuff. The answer was that he could if he wanted to .... Still, he decided to keep working on Consciousness as he had been doing.
I think people would be happier if they picked a HIGH Goal and worked with their natural abilities and focused on the things that Life places before them.

From what Ive read on this subject (internet) the best is a series of pointers somewhat symbolic.
From these, predictions can be deduced.

How about being in an aircraft, fully loaded with passengers, fuel etc. The overall feeling of holidaymakers and businesspeople is good. Then you (being there) hear or smell something thats not quite right. The general feeling is now fear dominated. An announcement is made and the feeling is pure terror.
If at this point you had the abilities of your 5 senses it wouldn't be nice... Now add the ability of being inside the minds of each person there. What they think and what they are feeling (the emotions). Add to this the fact that you are now everywhere at the same time. Add to that time has slowed.
