well, anime is based partly on real life (and real theologies and real beliefs/practices), and partly on fantasy and exaggerations. it's sometimes easy and sometimes hard to tell where reality gives way to fantasy, and because of this not-always-distinguishable-line it's best to usually treat anime as fluff and NOT something to base one's practices on.
however, to say that all anime is completely untrue is rather silly cause, for example, many anime shows feature real life martial arts and real life techniques, eventhough they also feature made up martial arts and made up techniques (the martial art that ken and ryu are trained in exists. and the street fighter 2 v series talks about kundalini too (which is actually the first place i ever heard about it ^_^ )).
as i said, anime is partly based on reality, but don't use it to try and train by (anyone) cause it's also partly based on fantasy [|)].

In days of old this may have been described as an out of body experience. As is not unusual in these matters the perception can be coloured by your interests and beliefs.
For some a 'spirit world full of dead people' is exactly what they would expect to find assuming that those that have lived in the past have passed to some other place.
Perhaps you would like to expand on why you think that you have been altered.
You felt your life slip away? As in you're sitting there watching the show and all of a sudden *yoink* you're gone? Or is it when you sleep at night, or just any time? When did it happen? How did it feel (happy, sad, angry, etc). Did you feel any buzzing or electric sensations? Did you hear any weird sounds?

Yes and its hard to explain it because people get flamed for it. But I have never had an OBE so this interests me. Even if you don't think we believe just spit it out. If someone says something mean then you can sort it out then[|)].

Whether anime is based on reality or if it is fiction has nothing to do with the situation described by Dark Phoenix, and so far no-ones been flamed so can we just get on with finding out what happened and what we can do about it?

ok sorry if this seems rashional or anything but i was searching for lyrics on a google web site and all of a sudden i was in this 'world' and i didn't know how i got there. i awake about a half hour before i posted this topic...to give me time in order to think for a minute. and i don't really see my self as anything,cause everyone ignores me any how. {nbot you guys but where i am in the world } and i didn't feel anything before or after this happened. and i could move around which i did after i closed my mouth cause it was open....and i talked to some noisy brat of a kid that kinda looked like a toddler....wouldn't be really sure though.

Dark Phoenix...I really, Really, REALLY think you should try to talk to Spectral Dragon.
I'd still like to hear more, but if you're not sure, I suggest talking to Spectral Dragon and maybe even Sam in private.
Hey Dark Phoenix nothing to worry about with us - sure we argue amongst ourselves about this that and the other, but you'll find we're generally pretty easy going :)
I get the impression from what you've told us that you are experiencing some kind of reality swap during your day, am I right? It seems from the way you've described things that you suddenly find yourself in a totally different place, full of people and weird stuff, and then just as suddenly find yourself back where you were, in the "normal world". Is that whats happening?
Has this been happening for a long time or did it only just start?
How do you feel when it happens? Scared? Confused? The more you can tell us about what's happening, the more we can understand and possibly even help you.

We've all felt like that at some point, especially during times when we need people the most. I find that the majority of people just like to be happy without any other person's troubles bringing them 'down'. We aren't like that, because we've had the troubles and know that there needs to be people there for someone when they think they are alone. Nothing is more maddening than having nobody to share your personal problems with and it makes no difference (to me) if the person is on the internet or in the flesh. We are still people even if we are stuck behind a computer screen on the other side of the world :)
