Heat....intense

I don't want to sound like an idiot, so I will do my best to explain this situation:

I noticed ever since my sophomore yr. of High School (College now) that every once and awhile I'll feel as though I have an extra lung. As if my lungs can take in extra air at times, it feels more potent as well. It feels like an electric current moving down my arms and then dwells in my palms. It is much different than the 'normal perception of psi'. I didn't realize how potent it was until (by accident) a friend touched my hand and drew it back saying it was "burning up". Does anyone know what this might be? It seems to originate in the solar plexus area. I can do it at will sometimes but it is very difficult.

WHen energy travels through your hands they can become hot and you can get tingling sensations.

Mostly people who are attuned to Reiki experience this very often and they can controll it, you are a natural I guess. If you want, go and find a Reiki master in your area and talk to him about it or let yourself become attuned fully.

Anyways develope this further. Practise controlling it.... visualise the energy flowing from your solar plexus into your hands. (If your attuned you do not need to strong visualize anything... it will be just there)

And anyways the energy will relax people and heal them (the healing is not like a miracle, but slowly... for example it will make a cut heal faster then if you don't use it). Secondly the healing will not cure bad sicknesses just like that so always go to a doctor too. If you want to use it just place your hands on the area or on predefined areas. To find out more seek out a Reiki master.... they can explain it way better then I can and much more detailed.

I've done reiki for about 5 yrs., this feels different like electricity, an electric current. Thanks for your response.

It is the same energy. I have had people describe my touch as either heat or electricity. It seems to depend on their perceptions rather than me doing anything different.

Bokar Rinpoche (of Tibetan Buddhism) says that when one experiences intense heat, one is experiencing the Ultimate Nature of the Mind.

Perhaps this has something to do with Inner Heat Yoga (Tummo)?
