Hi Sasser!
I don't know much about the Gateway program although I have had a look into it in the past. I read somewhere a long time ago about Remote Viewing experiments from both the US Military and CIA (I think). They were very interested in it during the second world war / cold war from memory.
The paranoid conspirator in me would think that this is a distinct possibility, but surely some experiments on the program CD's could prove either yes or no.
The skeptic in me would think that this is balony, plain and simple.
I guess there is only one real way to know for sure!
But...you never really know who is watching!

First, thanks Muzza for your reply.
I have been using these CD-discs for 10 months now with good results. I feel appreciation for the work done by Robert Monroe and what it has meant to me using his supportive material. Thus I react both with astonishment and disapointment when somebody warns me. That is; the program embedding an identification mark within the mind of the user.
Some time ago I took a beginners course in coordinate remote viewing, also with good results. To me that is a fact now, this stuff is really working.
And sub liminal inplanting of coordinates - maybe - could be possible. We all know that sub liminal advertising was banned. At least in my country, simply because it works. Still I wonder if such an implant can be detected. And using the CD:s to inplant would presume that every single CD-album beeing sold got unique coordinates. Big planned and long term work.
But anyway:
Do you think this is true?
Do you think it is possible?
If so, how to erase such an inplanted number/coordinate?
My guess is that it is only balony...

What do I know? Well I read a lot. I don't think it's true what you've mentioned about the Gateway program. It's been in existence since the 1970's and many thousands of participants have gone through it, with varying degrees of success. If such nefarious behavior were going on, seems like the cat woul dhave been let out of the bag.
Though I will say that I heard (heresay) from a woman highly skilled in the Wiccan arts, that "people who go to Monroe, and who participate in Silva 'change.'" I took it to mean that they are more spiritually advanced, but she said something happens to their personality also. Take from it what you will. I love this site, by the way. Woo.

I have definitely changed, but I am sure it is for the better... I do feel much better, more whole, present. Some changes are very subtle.

Just to put peoples' minds at rest....there is nothing subliminal or in the remotest way 'suggestive" contained in the Monroe tapes and Cds. I don't know where you got the idea from that ex-CIA people operate the Institute. Pardon my bluntness, but that is ridiculous. You may have got mixed up with the fact that at the initial Gateway programme Joe Mc Moneagle talks to participants re his involvement with the STARGATE RV programme. Also, Skip Attwater runs the lab at the Monroe Institute and he was the initiator of the STARGATE programme. You could not meet two more gentle-hearted, spiritual guys ! I have been a member of the Monroe Intsitute for nearly 20 years and have attended five of their week0long courses. I have also been fortunate enough to have become friendly with some of the key people involved in this profit-free organisation which is based on being of service to the community and to help raise the consciousness and awareness of humankind. I do hope I have been able to dispel any potential fears and squash false rumours re the Monroe Institute. their CDs are great. Sincerely, Jo Buchanan.

I have been using the Gateway program up to the 3:rd album and it has changed my life. Before that I had one spontaneous confirmed OBE. Another person - beeing in the hypnagogic state some 10 miles away - could see me like a shaddow under her ceiling. The OBE took place in daytime while fully awake. Twenty minutes afterwards the other person called me and asked me what was going on! This event assured me that the possibilty to experince it again was just around the corner, and it was.
In my case the CD training kit has not directly induced OBE:s or astral trips - while - listening to them. Effects came during the night - after - the training session. I could wake up in the early morning being half outside my physical body or floating in our country house 70 miles away. Strange but very exiting experiences.
Today after some months of practise I can induce the vibrational state with an 80% hit rate, but so far only in the early morning hours 02.00-07.00 AM.
When going vibrational I most of the times is launched into astral realms. Why? It is said that going OBE takes a more condensed projected body that has more mass than the astral lighter body. I can't confirm that. I just keep experimenting.
So I do recommend the Gateway program. Thanks to people like Robert Monroe and Joseph McMoneagle. They seem to be men with big hearts.

reading your reply is putting my mind at rest. I don't question the people you mention but the financial rumours and the "implant statement" is of no good. So I really don't want to make this into a problem to the Institue but maybe they should seriously consider these kind of rumours - based on history? - as someting to confront in a frank and open way. What is the truth? Tell us the story.
Again as I mentioned before, I am filled with appreciation to the TMI people working to elevate consciousness and people like Moneagle through his books sharing and educating the public about our inner powers. And of course the work of Robert Bruce.

For about a week (last week) I found it caused me to go into the vibrational phase every time I closed my eyes or focused inward at all. I was feeling pretty giddy and very loosely in my body with a lot of energy pouring through, even to the point of being painful. It was astonishing. I backed off meditation for a few days and finally a good old car repair problem has grounded me once again. I'm just feeling a steady gentle trickling of electric like energy in the chakra areas. I'm feeling like it won't take too much to get that energy back. I'm pretty sure something like those tapes will work on me. I find that even reading Astral Dynamics I sometimes suddenly start to slip out or vibrate. Even still, I have yet to break that fear barrier and take it all the way to conscious exit. I think I've backed off for a few days to let the energy settle a bit and will get back to it very soon.

I don't mean to be "picky" here but feel i should correct the last statement that Joe Mc Moneagle's wife runs the Monroe Institute now. Joe's wife actually has nothing to do with the running of the Monroe Institute. She has a flourishing successful business of her own as an astrolger. Maybe you are getting mixed up with her step sister Laurie Monroe, who is on the board of directors who run the Institute.The Institute is not run by one person alone, but by a board of a dozen or so highly qualified professional people.Joe Mc Moneagle's wife Nancy ("Scooter")is the daughter of Nancy Monroe, who married Robert Monroe. (Robert Monroe was her stepfather.) (Laurie Monroe is the daughter of Robert Monroe). The whole question of "implants" (?) in the TMI CDs as mentioned in a previous post, is nonsense. As are the suggestions that ETs planted four large crystals around the Institute. Again, the poster could be getting mixed up with a guy who lives a couple of kilometres away from the Institute, in the hills, who has large crystals surrounding his house on his property. As a long time watcher of the paranormal circuit, I've found that the conspiracy community (!) at some time or other exposes the title of ex-CIA to just about everyone as the ultimate badge of evil. Next they will claim that anyone who has ever worked for the US Postal Service is actually putting secret nano sized cameras in citizens' junk mail. One of the things that TMI is really good at is helping participants look at their belief systems.
Beliefs can be very limiting. If you believe in CIA conspiracies, one-world government etc., it is
highly probable that you will "pull" those kind of experiences to you -- and the validating
information to support those beliefs. Powerful stuff, this reality creation.
I don't belive in any large scale conspiracies. I worked for a small corporation for 15 years with
highly intelligent and motivated people, and watched again and again as things got blundered,
opportunities missed, important "secret" information leaked etc. If that group if smart people
couldn't pull of simple business secrets, then I knew that larger more wide-spread conspiracies were
quite impossible.
I have no way to disprove the TMI secret coding on the tapes. But I will attest to the honesty
and integrity of every single person I have met there in my last three programs. And I believe
that it would be impossible for these people to participate in such a conspiracy. So, that would
mean even they wouldn't know about it -- and they run the place. Who's left?
I find that conspiracy theories are advanced by people who feel an need to be validated. It
is not enough to be who they are -- they need to know "secret" information (so you respect them
more) or they need to be "targeted" by the conspiracies (so that they are more important than
they really are). It's all self-esteem issues.
Let such people be. It hurts their souls too much to be confronted by disbelief -- because it is

TMI is a great place. The experiences are wonderful. They will be treasured for a lifetime.

Hi Mobius ! Without a doubt, Roert Monroe's three books Journeys Out of the Body, Far Journeys and Ultimate Journey are legendary. This is only a personal opinion and wouldn't necessarily be the opinion of others, but my very favourites are Journeys Out of the Body and Ultimate Journey. I'd also like to correct something....I haven't exactly been a member for twenty years...just "involved" with letters of communication...but I became a member as soon as I realised one could do so. Although it cost me a mint to attend the courses though...on account of flying out from Australia to the West Coast of the USA and then acroos country to Virginia, I have to say that it was the best money i have ever invested. There were terrific spin-offs apart from my own personal development and making new friends and I'd like to mention one of these. I was teaching meditation and "development" inside one of Australia's biggest maximum security prisons, Mulawa, during my first visit to the TMI. The inmates LOVED doing consciousness expansion work.
The "powers that be" at The Monroe Institute gave me, free of charge, the entire series of tapes about Setting the Heart free and another series of tapes to aid in the healing of the Immune System. On top of of this, they also donated various other random tapes.
The inmates kept diaries as they progressed through these series of tapes and they are fascinating reading.The tapes liberated those incarcerated in a way I could never have done. Wasn't the giant quartz crystal given as a gift to the monroe institute, they placed it in the grounds and built a kinda maze around it? The one I am thinking of (I read this on their site), well I do not think even came from the area. I could be wrong! Focus 15 - it was, um, about half a year ago when I read this, I think. I remember I was on the site checking out a short demo clip of their hemi-sync audio trickery stuff. But as you can see, the story no longer exists there.....I am pretty sure it was there.

There is a multi-billionaire lady (absolutely loaded - something to do with McDonalds somewhere down the line - or supplies them at least), and who has loads of properties and land here in the Isle of Man.
She is, despite being in her 70's, a devoted New Age love and light type. She spends much of her time by all accounts, locked in her bedrooms channeling Angels, spirits, aliens and other entities (I don't know for sure what, if anything she accomplished). But as money was no object, she imported these absolutely huge quartz crystals from Namibia (I believe it was), and placed them all around her gardens and homes on all of her properties. An amazing lady, not sure what benefits accrued from the quartz crystals, but she certainly had great faith in them for channeling and other positive effects
Quartz is an interesting substance - after all - its vibrations/oscillations keeps quartz watches in good time!

On the subject of crystals...clear quartz crystal to be specific...may I share an interesting story? in the early eighties I was involved in two "businesses" (we had a shopfront, did markets and conducted workshops in Aboriginal Spirituality (with the aid of a wonderful Aboriginal elder now deceased...burnum Burnum)...one of the business was called THE CRYSTAL PYRAMID and dealt only with crystals and their inherent/ancient healing properties and THE MISTS OF AVALON dealing with crystals, Aboriginal spiritualit, the Druid/Celtic Way and Ancient Egyptian Spirituality.(I won't go further into to this now).
Anyway,Prince Charles and Princess Diana were due to visit the Sydney Opera House for a Wool Fashion Show. At the time, my son, who is an actor, was starring in a Sydney Theatre Production at the Opera House and a close friend of his...a girl who worked as a "dresser" to the actors...was booked to be employed as a "dresser" to the models in the upcoming Woollen Fashion Show.
She asked me to give her a clear quartz crystal to take to the night of this nationally televised show. This I did. She explained that she knew Prince Charles and Princess Diana would be doing a "walk through" after the show to meet the models, designers etc. She had heard that Prince Charles was very "alternative" and she wanted to try to give him a clear quartz crystal programmmed for Peace...based on the belief that the clear quartz crystal was like a computer and able to accept, hold and transmit "programmes". Together, we programmed this crystal for "world peace" and she stuffed it into her pocket. When the (televised) walk through by Prince Charles and Princess Diana occurred, my friend pushed her way through the models and designers at the barricade and held the crystal out to Prince Charles. He looked at her and said, "What is this?" She barely had time to reply, "It's a clear quartz crystal...it's programmed for Peace", when he was swept forward.
The point of sharing this story is this.....he looked at it, accepted it, and placed it into his pocket.
He may or may not have believed in the power of crystal to store/sustain/amplify/transmit energy. But he did accept it.
He turned away from my young friend, rubbing it against his suit, before popping it into his pocket. If crystal can indeed amplify and transmit energy, I wonder where this tiny computer, programmed to promote World peace, lies now ? Just a thought...............

This is my debut post to the Astral Pulse forum. I visited the site often for a few months then decided to join today...
I know the string has ventured off from Sasser's original concern regarding the Monroe Institute, but I wanted to humbly offer my direct experience with TMI and the folks involved.
I heartily concur with Jo & RickD. Everyone there was down-to-earth, open, honest, and quite encouraging to each one of us, allowing us to discover for ourselves what we each wanted/needed to discover. Personally, I had a most transformative week at the Institute, to say the least, experiencing things beyond my expectations (which I had lowered prior to arrival, so as not to put any performance pressure on myself!). Also refreshing is that there is an obvious effort (by Bob's family and the others involved) to prevent a "cult of personality" from developing around "Bob Monroe" and his work...it's all humbly but enthusiastically presented, and each of the 20 of us was given the sacred space necessary to just be...so a conspiracy theory really seems ridiculous when you know the people to whom it's referring to!
Joe McMoneagle is a great guy too, I met him up at his house when I visited his wife Scooter for her read on my astrology chart...
Yeah, that big crystal is something to behold, it's out in the middle of a big field that is the main building's back yard (sorta). One night with a full moon, I sat myself up against it for some time; real nice! When the moon was trying to shine its way through it, it seemed to glow...
I bought RB's Astral Dynamics fairly soon after my Gateway program had ended---what an awesome work! I quickly caught on to his NEW approach, as that energy raising had become a staple for me since encountering a related approach on the Monroe tapes and at the TMI program...I think both are extremely effective, and I have had some creative fun with combining bits from both during my nightly meditations...

well as a couple of others as well now.I dont have a problem with

called the "Crystal Castle" just south of the N.S.W/Q.L.D border.
It seems to be located on a bit of a geomagnetic hotspot as well &
they have giant crystals everywhere.As you walk in the front,there
is a circular pool with a rose quartz crystal about 2ft by 1ft in
the centre.As you walk into the building there is a shrine of crystals
& one chunk of rose quartz is like a small chair or boulder.
I love the energy of the place & when I,m there,I dream that I,m at
TMI or that they have a similar workshop there,maybe one day.
There is not a place of high energy near me except for the "Crystal
Castle" (2hrs) "Tambourine mountain" (45mins) "O'Reileys" (2hrs)&
the sea (30 mins).
I used to live in Katoomba,the blue mountains,N.S.W for 10 years &
I,m sure part of my soul is still there as I go back every year or
2 to energize.The whole place of Katoomba is a spiritual hot spot &
many religous schools,cults & secret societies were well established there.Its the place where it all really took off for me & gained
much spiritual growth while living there.
I plan to at least see TMI one day if not participate,but I,ve got
a lot of other places to go 1st,so its always in the back of my mind.

Hi Mobius, happy Easter ! You live in a beautiful part of the world. It's been a long time since I've visited the Crystal Castle. An amazing place, isn't it? I know what you mean about Katoomba.You wouldn't be too far from Mount Warning, would you? Another powerful energy site. Re the Monroe Institute.I've just visited there and done courses but I'll try to answer your questions. There is actually only one Monroe Institute and that's in the Blue Ridge Mountains.Those who have undergone training have set up off-shoot "schools"/training courses all over the world, but there's only the one "Institute" per se.The atmosphere of the place is incredible. It's like being enclosed inside a space ship (energy-wise), away from the rest of the world. You hand your watches in on arrival, and there are no newspapers, radio or TV...you are also encouraged not to make phone calls to the outside world.You'd love it.

Thanks (for the welcome) Mobius! Tagging onto something both you & Jo touched on, does anyone have any thoughts on what would make a place like Crystal Castle so spiritually energized? Do you think the geology determines that, the geographical location, or might it be from the energy spirit-minded folks like us project to/connect with the place?
Like Jo said, at TMI the energy is soooo positive and pervasive, it really makes it possible for great experiences to unfold. Even for guys & gals coming from rat-race 3-D lifestyles (uhhh, like me here in Los Angeles), the energy instantly begins to shift one's awareness, one's priorities, and one's intent. My thought about TMI is that so many people have gone there and focused (pardon the pun---unintentional) that the place seems to have stored this great wealth of positive vibrations: countless journeys to other realms, meetings with Guidance, etc.
Similarly, many other places around the world seem to also have this sort of "vortex" quality to them (not that I know what a vortex is exactly, but sort of an energy portal), so that us spirit-warriors can tap into...your thoughts?
I must figure a way to swing a visit to Crystal Castle, sounds wonderful! Thanks for turning me on to such a place.

Mobius, I have sat and meditated inside the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid at midnight, inside some awesome crop circles in England and at the top of the Magician's Temple at Chichen Itza in the Yucatan jungle and can honestly say that I had moments at TMI that equalled these experiences of "transportation" into the past/parallel dimensions/outer space...whatever you want to call it...a feeling of being plucked out of the present and totally transported somewhere else just by simply "being there". Usually it happened lying inside one of the CHEC units but I went for a walk with a friend who lived on the mountain near the Institute,(at a time "between courses") to the edge of one of the ridges (of the Blue Ridge mountains)and we did some ritual together and the place and energy was as profound as anywhere I'd ever been. (Mind you, I was in the company of a pretty profound young person at the time...bless you Rita...)
Mount Warning is very special though. It must be wonderful to live at the base of it.There is also an area outside of Sydney on the coastline, where there are tons of Aboriginal carvings and middens. You go through Coal and Candle Creek and there's a narrow walking trail through the bush that leads to this area. There's a perfect, natural "circle" there...flat smooth rockface inside the circle and Aboriginal carvings in the rocks surrounding it.
The Crystal Castle is outside Mullumbimby if my memory serves me correctly. In that area anyway.

Greg, if you can't swing a trip out to Australia to the area of Mount Warning and the Crystal Castle, an energy site to compare with in your country is Bell Rock outside of Sedona...and other incredible vortices there. Wow, that red rock countryside is breathtaking and has the same exciting, transformational "feel". The feeling of all those special energy sites remind me of portals to other worlds...interdimensional gateways...Hey, I'm raving on here...too many chocolate Easter eggs...have a happy holiday break !

Mobius---indeed I be the same as the Greg 11.11 on VML Topica...small world, eh? Relating to this, I feel very grateful that I can so easily converse with other explorers such as you & Jo, and you live thousands of miles away! It is very very encouraging for me, and I am also grateful to RB and those on the VML for creating sites where I can listen and share with kindred spirits...truly a blessing! (I don't have/know anyone in L.A. that has a similar passion for journeying into what increasingly seems like the "real" real world, versus what seems to be going around me here in Tinseltown 3-D...this place has energy, but don't know if it's all that good!)

I met a person that claims that the Gateway program contains intrusive sub liminal messages or identification marks that becomes embedded into the mind of the user. The purpouse of this is to be able to identificate and find users that, having learnt the technique of inducing OBE:s, themselves are intruders into US military installations. So if a OBE-naut intrudes a top secret military base the user can be tracked down by standard remote viewing procedures, and then...?
This sounds like science fiction, doesn't it? Still my questions is serious. Not that I am interersted in US military bases, but I don't like beeing "marked" by the CIA, the agency that is said to be the main sponsor of the Monroe Institute (Gateway program).
