Lucifer is a being who had too much of a good thing.
Ever have ice cream and sunshine, every day for a couple of years. try a couple of centurys?
He is a being who had the knowledge, that he was perfect, but not the experience of it.
The only way to experience how good a thing is, is to not have it.
Thats why we are here. When we go back, we will realy be in awe of the other world, because we have had so much lack here.
Lucifer, the word, comes from the latin lux, luxis, and fero, means to bring, so both luxis and fero, become Lucifer, which means bringer of light. Also lux is the Latin stem for lucid. Lumen is also in the same group, hence luminous, again luminiferous- producing light.

can anybody actually find any information regarding this so-called angel "lucifer" from the BIBLE? i've heard a lot of stories, but nothing substantiated in any part of the bible or any religious book. from the research i've done on "lucifer", he really is just a myth propogated by people's imaginations rather than actual religious texts.

As far as I am aware there are not very many references to Him, but on a practical note, if there are people on earth, who do what we call, evil things, then why shouldn't there be spirits, who desire the power, and energy, that comes from negativity.
It could be imagination, but I think that our feelings never lie, so how would you feel, about praying to him, and inviting him into your life, assuming he is just a figment of peoples imagination, this would be no prob. My feelings say NO ! You may say this is just fear, maybe?

I've always heard from church or other religous people stories about hell and satan, when I've never read a single thing about it from the bible as well.

Mohammed, if you're there, forgive me...

I believe the Muslims refer to Satan as Shaytan. I have no idea if there are stories of Shaytan in the Quran. Shaytan was an angel who was unimpressed by the cretion of humanity, thought himself better than creation, blah, blah, blah.

Mohammed, you would really know better, if you can shed some light with some verse from the Quran, that could help (assuming those verse exist).

It's been a while since I studied Islam, I should begin again soon.

From what I have read. Lucifer is the bearer of light. The bright morning star. Planets are known as enities. The sun moon and stars are the celestrial bodies while the planets are terreserial bodies. Lucifer is know as a falling angel with just might be a star. Or could be a planet. One that either fell into our universe or out. I think Lucifer is also associated with the planet Mars. Mars is heading our way. Anyone want to look into this.

Beezelbub is one of the princes of Hell. I also think he has to do with the Plagues of Egypt, the flies plague.

Here is what I put together from Liber 777

first off. lucifer is *latin*, which NO part of the original bible was written in.

second. it appears ONCE in the entire bible, and it is not as a reference to anything regarding jelousy about humanity. in the book of Enoch, there is an angel which is a leader of many other angels who refused to bow and pay honour to humanity as God commanded the angels to, and so that angel and his followers (who did not bow and pay honour to the humans either) were cast out of heaven. the name of the angel was NOT lucifer.

many legions of angels were cast out of heaven, according to the book of Enoch, some because they would not pay honour to humanity, and others because they loved humanity too much and took human females to be their wives. but once again, no mention of the so-called angel name "lucifer" (nor satan, btw since satan means "one who opposes" and is actually NOT a proper-name of a fallen angel, but is a descriptive-name given to certain beings within the bible (and peter himself was one of those beings who was referred to as satan, for those who didn't know[|)]), just like the word "moron" is sometimes used as a descriptive-name for certain people. just like "the great deciever" was a descriptive-name given to the being who john (i believe) referred to as the being which tricked eve in the garden of eden)

third. beelzebub is NOT the same being as what people refer to when they refer to "satan" or "lucifer". beelzebub was just another being who had power and was worshipped. just like baal.

ah, actual studying[^]. it does a great deal to alleviate myths and lies propogated through word of mouth by those who are too trusting of other fallible humans[|)]. but don't take my word for it[

As far as I remember, (this might be c**p), but Lu is the higher self, while Satan is his lower self.
It's good to fear, but not be afraid, so to speak (dichotomy.. he he I love that word).
People don't realize that they have a choice. For instance, if he was face to face with a person, they would be so terrified, they would not realize they have the choise, and can say No.
Assuming he's real that is.

From what I gather, Lucifer is the collective shadow of mankind. That's why he knows all about each and every one of us. I say this because of the nature of mankind's descent into evil. WE made him. He can send his demons to feed certain people certain information, for example, that will cause them to act maliciously though they may think it is out of benevolence. But they have not the wit to see it and so they fall for his tricks. The trouble is, organized religion is actually good for lucifer because it allows him to more easily manipulate people. In many cases, organized religion tends to discourage questioning of said religion, thus making us more closed/narrow-minded and easy to manipulate, and the stronger one believes in a traditional organized religion, the more easily they are manipulated.

Lucifer is something that can only be defeated with the full cooperation of all mankind (and we all know that's never going to happen because of various reasons, i.e. people not believing he exists, not understanding what he is exactly, etc.). It will take a miracle to enlighten everyone. Divine intervention. There is very little hope for any of us escaping alive AND without at least SOME corruption. I guess it's like they say... the good die young.
