Title: Mantra Chanting
Post by: McArthur on July 11, 2004, 13:24:24
p.s. I also find that chanting/singing in Sanskrit makes it easier to continue do other things without having to concentrate on the lyrics too much because my main language is English. Just reading their meaning will help; i don't find i need to concentrate on the meaning of the words while i'm chanting.

I also think this may be beneficial as it might be an easier way of communicating with the Unconscious (read about A O Spare's sigil technique or Chaos Magick ). Ever had a song in your head and cant stop singing it without realizing? [;)]

When I were a lad... The days when you could here a whole club full of people in various states of insobriety chanting along to Kula Shaker's Govinda were just something special.

Aye, them were the days. Way back then i had a glass collecting job just on a Friday nights at my local studenty type Nightclub. Drinking Newcastle Brown and ogling the girls while picking up the mess and watching folks have fun. Happy Sigh. Good memories. [8D]

Hey dude was always played too. Kula Shaker played one night at this club i worked but i never got to see them.

Hey Dude-

All I have is all I need enough for love but not for greed yeah. I was younger once this guy came to me told me about all the honey out there.
He said "Honey gold jewels money women wine cars that shine." I don't know what he was talking about but I think I had an idea.

He said "Smell the rose, sweet sweet rose, catch the sun find where it grows. Smell the rose, the sweet sweet rose that grows on castle walls in heaven. In heaven yeah."

Well if it feels like summer you're catching the sun, and I'm catching the moment you fall,
If it tastes like honey don't swallow it all, don't wait for the moment to come- and catch the sun.

Hey dude don't lean on me man, Cause I'm losing my direction and I can't understand, no no
Hey dude well I do what I can But you treat me like a woman when I feel like a man.

I was crossing the city one day, everybody was flashing by me Like images of tombstones, images of tombstones, On a Friday night I've seen everybody looking for their little bit of honey
To alleviate the pain, to alleviate the pain.

Well if it feels like summer don't burn in the sun, don't wait for the evening to fall, If it tastes like honey don't swallow it all, don't wait for the moment to come- and catch the sun.
No, no, n no, n no, no, etc.
when I feel like a man! Hey dude, etc...

I've recently used the Enochian First Call of the Aires (the english translation) and it seem to have effect on the negs.
Just commencing with the first lines have effect.
This call is used to invoke the Angels relating to the tablet of Union (the sphere of spirit).

I would advise against doing the Enochian unless you absolutely know what you are doing and are a competent occultist/magician. You just might start a process off that you are not prepared for.

"Stavish: I noticed that there is no mention of Enochian magic in the material you have on your website. Why all the warnings about Enochian, and its purported dangers?

A.N.: Enochian is very tonal. One of our supervisors, left many years ago, in order to take up Enochian. He's a very, very competent occultist, a very good ritualist. Quite a down to earth person. And two years later, he was a nervous wreck. He'd set aside one room in his house as a temple, furnished it, and for two years, almost every day had spent some time in there. Either practicing a call, or doing a longer Enochian rituals, or that, It started with him going in one day, and finding all of the furniture pilled in one end of the room. He put it back again, and said to himself, this did not happen. It happened again, and again, and finally one day he found his alter upside down. He de-consecrated the entire place and shut it out. And said, I can't do this anymore. Whatever it was thought well maybe he doesn't want to do it anymore, but it did. He began to find things around the house, all bundled in a corner, standing on top of one another. Came in one day, and found two of his books, one flat, one on edge, and a glass of water standing on top. He tried everything, he blessed the house, cleansed the house, and called in a priest and had it exorcised. One of the things people don't know about exorcism, is that you can't really use exorcism on things that are older than Christianity. In the end he gave up all forms of the occult, sold all of his books, but not before he damn hear came to the edge of a nervous breakdown."

But if you want to check it out here's a good place:

I have been using the above mantra chants to great effect lately while under psychic attack. The effect seems pretty similar to the one Robert recommends (which i have also used with good effect) that goes, "May God be resurrected and his foes vanish, like wax melts before fire and smoke disperses on the wind, may all those who hate the Lord flee from his sight and the Just Rejoice."

The Mantras are sung though, and i find that singing the words somehow makes them more effective. Plus they do not mention "foes" or anything "hating" anything which i find offputting and more difficult to not concentrate on the attack (YMMV). It just doen't feel like a 100% positive chant/affirmation. In Buddhism, for instance, using the words "foe" and "hate" might be seen as a form of attachment to the "foe" and its "hate" whereas the idea is meant to be to detach completely from the attack.

On the second link above you can listen to a song with the words (how they are pronounced) and tune.

Govinda Jaya Jaya
Gopala Jaya Jaya
Radha Ramana Hari
Govinda Jaya Jaya
Radhe Radhe Radhe Shyam
Radhe Bolo Sita Ram
Radha Ramana Hari
Govinda Jaya Jaya

"Govinda and Gopala mean "the one who finds" and "the one who protects." Both were names for Lord Krishna when he was a young cow herdsman in Vrindavan. Govinda Jaya Jaya is the song of one who seeks and finds the total protection of the Lord. Its beautiful melody draws forth feelings of joy, repose, tenderness, and prayer."
