My spirit guide trying to contact me?

Okay, so a few days ago I was reading Sylvia Browne's book Contacting Your Spirit Guide, and only read through some of it, before getting discouraged and thinking "I'll never get to see my spirit guide." Then last night (okay, this morning since I went back to sleep from that point) I had a dream in which I saw things forming together until they formed a man in armor, who curiously resembled "Master Chief" from the Halo games, who then said calmly to me "I am your spirit guide." I'm a gamer, and a long time fan of the series, so perhaps that's why he or it took that form. Initially I thought it "this is just silly, a dream-figure resembling a video game character claiming to be a spirit guide!"

But earlier this night, after saying a prayer to the "Great Spirit" for my spirit guide to make themselves known to me, and after dozing off for awhile, I woke up with this strange thought that maybe I was not alone in this room. I was scared at first, thinking my room may be haunted. But then something really bizarre happened. My entire body shook and tingled all over, to the point where all I could hear was my body rumbling, followed by my left ear popping (as if coming down from a tall mountain) and my right ear getting a high-pitched whistling noise in it, as of cold air was blowing through it. I "felt" the air as well. This whistling in your ear is what Sylvia wrote about in her book! Also, this strange chirping/creaking noise was plaguing my room for several days now, and I thought it to be a cricket or maybe a frog or even a rusty metal part in the wall or my closet, but as of tonight I have only heard that noise once.

I may ask for my spirit guide to take another form, because as cool as it is to meet up with a game character in real life, it also makes it hard for me to take him/her seriously. Maybe that form can be one of their many forms. I do know that when I was a very young kid I felt protected by this female angelic being I referred to only as "Spotlight" because of her radiant white light. It would be amazingly awesome for my guide to take her form, but I don't want to rush or force my guide to be something their not.

Can you please tell me what to do next? I am excited and a little scared. I am afraid I will find out about things I may not want to know.

sounds like the experience was meant to be a confirmation or validation to you that your guide/s are with you and are here to help. 

the next step is to pay attention to how they speak to you in your normal life.  rarely do i actually "hear" or receive a direct/straightforward message from my guides.  what you will notice though are indirect synchronicities all around you all the time.  it's basically "signs" in your daily life.  i have a good story/example of what i'm talking about.

about a week ago i did a candle ritual to ask for assistance in finding the next appropriate step for me to take in a specific spiritual matter.  (the candle ritual isn't necessary, i just like to use candles because of the fire and because it creates a concrete vessel to transfer my intention into)  so a couple days later i was at the mall getting my fiancee's engagement ring cleaned and inspected and i got a really strong urge to go into the bookstore and get a new book.  my logical mind was saying that i shouldn't spend the money because i really didn't have any to spare, i had just enough to pay the bills and not much extra.  but my intuition was screaming at me, telling me that there was a book meant for me.  so i went into the bookstore and searched all of the sections of interest to me, but nothing turned up, nothing jumped off the shelf at me.  feeling a little bummed out i left with no book, but i still had the urge to buy a book.  another day passed and me and my lady traveled north to visit family for thanksgiving.  we got there a day early because we had some errands to run for her dad.  so we got into town and saw her dad, he needed us to go to the grocery store for him because he's a bit disabled and can't walk well anymore.  we got everything on his list except for these cans of beef stew and his prescriptions.  we were having trouble finding the stew so i told my lady to go get the prescriptions and i'd look for the stew.  i went back to the soup aisle where the stew should have been, but it wasn't there.  on a whim (a gut feeling really) i went to the next aisle over.  this aisle had baking supplies on it, flour, sugar, spices, etc., a very inappropriate place for beef stew.  but sure enough, on the bottom shelf, right below the sugar, the cans of beef stew we needed.  i bend down to pick up the cans and right there on the floor in front of me is a $20 bill.  i picked it up and waited a minute to see if it's owner realized that s/he lost it.  no one came and i needed to leave so i took it.  as soon as we checked out i got that urge to go to the bookstore again, so we popped into the bookstore next to the grocery store.  i went back to their metaphysical section and looked long and hard.  i wanted to get an AP book (even though i know most of the various AP traditions out there quite thoroughly already) just to keep my mind immersed in the subject, but i couldn't find any.  they didn't even have astral dynamics, which was surprising.  i was just about to give up when i felt that i should check out the occult books.  i've been reading a lot more occult books lately, but i just didn't feel like checking that section until that moment.  so i'm looking at the shelf, kind of bummed because i didn't see any AP books, kind of just goin through the motions to follow up on an intuitive feeling.  then i saw it.  right in the middle of a row of books on witchcraft, "ASTRAL TRAVEL" stuck out in big white letters.  i didn't even read the cover, i knew that was the book i was there to get, i just took it and bought it.  the total price came to $19.98 US, and if you recall i had just found $20 at the grocery store.

so through the candle ritual i contacted my guides with my desire to find the next step on my path.  they let me know they were listening by giving me the first urge to go into the bookstore, but they knew that i couldn't afford a new book so nothing in that bookstore gave me that feeling of "that's the one".  but when the time was right i was given the money i needed and the book i needed appeared.  the book was perfect too.  i had never read or even heard of these authors and they presented a slightly different take that i needed to read.

so if you pay attention you'll see that your guides are always talking to you, helping you along, especially when you ask for help.

guides are a different version of yourself. are you a female angel or halo character?

they use information you have in your memory bank to form mental images. if you want to help your guide then it is good to learn more concepts and skim through pictures. later on those pictures are brought back to your attention and they say "remember this?"

also their energy derives from a hot ball above your head that permeates into the chest. most people are bothered by an increase of energy so guides tend to "back off" until a person says "Okay make it happen"

all that is needed to begin contact is your permission and genuine readiness to proceed. a "Yes" initiates a fusion where your guide begins to "sit" on you more and more in the upper body areas. eventually you become the guide and your thoughts come from above and below, becoming a dialogue of the higher self and middle self.

also guides tend to be 5th dimensional and work by sending feelings and not spoken words, unlike 4th dimensional "mental" beings. if you are looking for your higher self thinking that it is not you then it will be hard to pinpoint it.

i think it helps to understand the perspective of the higher self by speaking to your lower self who is childish. then you can understand how hard it is to communicate with someone who doesn't want to listen to you. you are middle self who is in the chest. each person is a combination of 3 main people in one with the body as the house.

Yeah anyways, I see what you mean about spirit guides, but I don't quite understand fully.
