PPSD is contradicting!

There is no contradiction there. The fact that a better way of doing things is available is rarely reason enough to choose it. It is the same reason why I keep going to work to a job that I have begun to dislike instead of taking the time and effort to look for something better. Maybe I'm lazy. Maybe I think I can't do any better. Maybe I think I deserve to stay with a job that I don't like working for someone I can't respect any longer. Things are the way they are and it looks like it would be too difficult to change them. While I am not a spirit or a neg, the experience is likely similar. Aren't there things you have wanted to do but not gotten around to doing?

Tom, I can see your point.  I could understand that they are just hanging around out of habit, laziness or whatever.  That still doesn't answer my question.  If live creatures (with bodies) take energy from earth and air, why can't negs also independantly do the same? This leads me to beleive that it must be something in a body to allow us to soak up energy.      ...This is probably in the book, since Bruce is always so thorough. I've only read about 80 pages so far.

Live people in bodies take energy from other people, intentionally or otherwise. It is generally not a very nice thing to do, especially with so many other sources of energy to choose from.

What I read was that living beings have an etheric body and that this is beneath the astral level while above the physical. I read that spirits do not have these etheric bodies, except for recently deceased people who bring theirs along until it breaks down. It could be a substantial advantage in raising energy, and according the the same sources spirits can take this etheric energy from living beings in order to better connect with and influence the physical.

Ok, thanks for writing back. I was thinking that all spirit forms without a body have an etheric body and a double( the complete form).    ...So the etheric body breaks down in a week.  Are you sure?

Sometimes two weeks. I seem to recall more than one number. Also, the etheric body can be sustained indefinitely by taking etheric material from living beings. It isn't even necessary to be dead. I've read of astral projectors taking etheric substance from other people in order to produce the appearance of a dense, tangible body and sustain it longer. It is something that will require experience to better classify as fact or fiction.

I understand this concept now.  It wouldn't make sense that they can sustain form from plain energy. They probably can take energy from things, but it has nowhere to go.  They take etheric energy/matter to have a substance.  I was wondering something, but I don't think anyone can answer my curiousity.  What happens when a neg can't find a host and withers away?  Will it just stop existing? Will it go back to another dimension?  Maybe this is too much to ask!

They have to suck blood. Looks like they just made this way.
You can avoid them, kill them or repel them.
Negs probably are the same way.

OK,  I started reading PPSD, and I'm impressed with the contents.  I haven't gotten far with NEW yet, so I'm not sensitive.  I just want to have the information for the future.       ....However something doesn't make sense to me.  All living creatures are able to absorb energy from earth and air.    So, how could it be that spirits/ negs can't do the same thing?  Why do they need a host to feed???
