Psy Attacks & Reiki Attunements

I don't think a Reiki attunement would have anything but positive effects.  

I've been attuned myself, I need to start doing more healings though.

Opening your third eye makes you less vulnerable to psychic attack and more likely to notice them (but that doesnt mean they happen more).

I also had questions about the advisability of getting attunements from people you don't know- for example from an auction purchase or over a free internet site. Would this leave one vulnerable to psychic attack from an unscrupulous person?

You are vulneralbe to psychic attack from anybody you meet and sometimes people you havent met.

No it's not. Some people here have had a mixture of positive and negative results when it comes to reiki (metal Ice, you there?).

Yeah, reiki is seen as a cure all by a lot of people, which is unfortunate. It can have beneficial uses as long as it isn't used as a drug to rely completely on. A lot of people here just got fed up with the reiki master group hug mentality and the "it's a lesson" catch phrase.

I received a reply today from a friend who is almost ready to be attuned to master level reiki and has experience with ghosts/psychic attackers. Here is what she said:


" This is not to be taken lightly, and no, if she
has been under psychic attack, a Reiki attunement will
make it WORSE not better. She'll be open as hell, and
beam right out there. She'll have to change her screen
name to "Lighthouse", because it'll be like a scene
from John Carpenter's "The Fog" if she gets attuned
with an active ghost with the potential to be hostile."

Has anyone actually experienced being attuned , or attuning someone, with this problem?

Hi, well here`s my ramblings, to me Reiki is an ancient Buddhist means of linking to healing guides etc that are very advanced. Personal attunement, means you yourself will have to preferably be assisted with clearing and getting to know yourself, this may make you vulnerable to any crap floating around, as your weak points get brought up and dealt with, for most problems, self realisation may be the answer to getting past those blocks, if you have major wants desires etc, these being dealt with, will make you sensitive in many ways, my attunement was very helpfull, but it is easy to backslide with the help of negs etc.
So as to wheither it`s a good idea or not, i can`t say in this case.
please remember that often reiki healing assistance can make a person feel like crap, until all the poison, and built up garbage comes to the surface is cleaned out and maybe dealt with if needed.
So i suspect the best way is to get at ease with yourself, get past some of the fear first. And ask your Good guides to costructively assist  you in getting to know yourself, the truth, and some self defense too. There`s a lot more, but gotta start somewhere, Roberts book is pretty amazingly good, and a lot of common sense too.

I'm here, Dark Knight,

Reiki is  a short term benefit if you're being psychically attacked.
It's not a cure all & did not stop the attacks. Just makes you feel better. I do not prescribe to the Love & Light approach anyway.  I believe in Psychic Self-defense . Always fight back & never stop trying new methods. We need to find people that have overcome these things, like Robert Bruce & try what they've tried.

I apologise if this has been covered before, but I didn't find anything for this particular question in my search.

I was wondering if it was advisable to have Reiki attunements while one is in a situation of psychic attack. I have heard from people that it opens your third eye even more, and I question if that might make things worse for someone. The person I am referring to has had horrible nightmares for years & even feelings of being strangled.
