It is possible to extract energy from someone else's chakras, but that is generally not a very nice thing to do. It is not even necessary. When two people are nearby, such as in the same room, their chakras are already interacting. It is possible to just passively become aware of which chakras are being stimulated by which people and then to encourage that stimulation mostly by being aware of it.

I think that Tom was quite correct, it can be done, but you have to be darn good at it, not just a would-be-if-could-be type. Most people bullsh_t themselves, and others, that they are like Buffy, and can do magical things. They generally are the ones who can't.

Energy sucking is an artform, mostly used in tantra, with a partner, with the consent of the other, and then it is a shared experience, you give some you take some.

Your friend sounds as if he should go back to the basics of metaphysics, 'don't do to others what you wouldn't want done to yourself'.

If you're really interested, you might want to check out Barbara Ann Brennan's books from the library. The first one is "Hands of Light." She might be the most highly functioning clairvoyant on the planet. (At least she's the most highly functioning clairvoyant that's writing books. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>)

The books are packed with info not relevant to your question, so you'll have to dig.

astral c: art form? heck no. i have done it a couple of times when i was desparetaly low on energy, and a couple of times to try to figure out if someone near me could "do stuff". but i am nice about it; i take only what i need, and what i don't need i put back in the person. the second person i tried pulling energy from, started pulling my energy out of me after i had stopped doing it to her, so i know that it isn't difficult.

also, when i taught my best friend how to use energy, i also taught him how to absorb it from his surroundings, but i didn't tell him any good reason why he shouldn't. so four months later (next school break) i went home and talked to a couple of new friends he had made who could also use energy. they told me how when he first showed up at their door he was sucking their energy out and he didn't even know how to stop it! boy, did i goof or what? lol. they have taught him how to not drain energy, though, so it is all good

From personnal experience, this seems to be a way to attack/weaken people that are not easily overcome. It is also possable to shut someones chakra(s) off, or block it anyway. This would (appear) be done to keep the specific abilities of a given chakra repressed. Blocking someones energy exchange areas is another way to "weaken" someone.

In our situation, the heart chakra was shut down, the entire left side of the body was blocked, most of the other chakras were covered (though not shut down), and the right hand and foot were covered. I was informed it was an attempt to "starve us out" energetically. Also, when I started working on my energy body again, most major joints had been severed. The ankles, knees, hips (big time), shoulders, whole neck, and to a lesser extent the elbows.

Slightly off topic, I know. But it seemed relevent.

He also said that he energy leached someone who was not aware of him and he said he got sick and started vomiting .
the victim did not have any experience in meditation let alone chakra work .
and I was wondering : if someone has never trained on his chakras
can that person  actually notice that his body is  acting "weird" or does one need special training for it .

Also is there anyone else here that can see chakras and aura's ?

One of my teachers told me that most people who drain other people of energy do not even know that they are doing it. They only know that they feel better when they are around other people. It can be in person or over the phone. My teacher said that some people have holes in their aura and that any energy they take in just pours out immediately. In order to avoid emptying out, they automatically take any nearby energy. My teacher said that nothing can be done for these people and that it is best to just avoid them. If there really are holes in someone's aura, though, it seems to me that there should be a way to patch up those holes and then raise enough energy to inflate the person's energy system.

I'm sorry but your teacher is either witholding info from you so you don't try anything or they are an idiot.....Healing auric ruptures (or re-aligning the thermic axis of the energetic bodies) is one of the most utilised forms of metaphysique treatment and is not even difficult.

Is your teacher a spiritual teacher or a maths teacher?

So in answer to your question....Yes there is a way to patch the holes up as you so eloquently put it.

Perhaps it is time to change teacher as your intuition depasses the knowledge of your so called teacher.

The particular teacher I had in mind said that he will not teach anyone who has a hole in their aura. He didn't just tell me to avoid such people, but rather he also could not help them. He told me that he tried on more than one occasion and only got himself drained. As for what he teaches: reiki, tai chi, some basic chi kung, and some meditation techniques. The wording about holes in auras and repairing them came from this teacher. The odd thing is that I have never knowingly met people with holes in their aura.

I have found teachers since this one. Some are better and some are worse. A couple were weird. One, however, was just plain crazy in the most literal sense of the word. She has a thing for shaping energy as daggers and throwing them at people. At first she said she loved me more than I could imagine, but now she absolutely hates me.

One of the weird teachers I've had told me that when giving energy to another person, the energy is not actually sent to the other person. Instead, the obstacles to that person's ability to draw in energy are weakened. He said it was like poking holes in a piece of paper so that light can shine through it. If I were to ask him about stealing energy from other people he would just laugh at me.

mastering the body is different from mastering the spirit. when something is wrong with the body, then someone who knows their body can tell. when something is wrong with the spirit, then someone who knows their spirit can tell. i am not a MASTER of either, but i can listen to both very well due to years of training. but whether joe blow off the street can tell; i would think it depends on whether their subconscious believes it to be a threat to their well being. if it is a threat, then the person is "informed" (even though the person may not be able to figure out the message being given to them).

I recomend that you do a web search on psychic vampirism, and be careful of RP sites. You should learn all you can about this.

I dont know your friends or your background but if you follow the right hand path or even the middle path than you might be getting a little lost. Psychic Vampirism might be good for a quick enery fix but nothing comes without a price. What your friend is doing is wrong, it is stealing from and violating people in the worst possible way. It is entering a sacred space without invitation. Taking energy from a consenting person or from a natural occurance (for eg a thunder storm) is different, not in mechanics but in principal and consequence.

The people who might seem like they have more energy to 'share' or those the energy feeder might find the most attractive to feed on  are the ones who might destroy the vampire. Can you imagine what a person like Robert could do to a neophyte vampire attepting to feed on him? There are many people who post here who I am sure could bring down a mightly wrath on an energy feeder. And there are also bigger fish who might decide to eat you. There is a distinct sub-culture to psychic vampierism and a lot of ego. And just like TV there are people who will not take kindly to those who are seen to be psychic vampires.

If you consider yourselves good people then reconsider taking on this ability. By all means read and satisfy your curiosity because knowledge is power. But it is wrong to do and you will never get away with it in the end. If you wish to manipulate energy consider Reiki or a form of healing, learn to see auras for the right reasons. No good will come to you or your friend from stealing peoples life force.
