Hi everyone! I have been involved in the Tarot for more than a year now and just recently (last week) bought a Tarot book from Borders with 2 Tarot Decks; The Rider-Waite (familiar with because of use with tarot.com) and Crowley Thoth (my favorite as I feel the symbolism is more detailed and suited for me and contains symbols of planets influence and sun signs).

My questions are:
Is there anyone else that uses the Tarot for spiritual guidance?
Have you asked the cards about the future concerning corruption, man's spiritual evolution, and the New Age as told by the Mayans?
Did you ask about your purpose in this life and your role in these wars to bring about peace?

I notice that as I work with my Tarot cards everyday, I am becoming better at interpreting my readings and becoming more intuitive. Every reading concerning life has been very accurate for me.

Please share your readings and thoughts on Tarot as I would like to know more and share experiences.
Life is a Journey, a Journey where all events that occur are merely those created through Will and Faith. Have Faith that you Will overcome all obstacles. Open the Heart and let the Mind flow freely for these are the keys to living life to the fullest.

I use Tarot for spiritual guidance but not in a a way of divination. I use them as keys to meditate upon. They are the language of the subconscious.
"the lower, earthly human being and the upper, mystical human being, in which the Godhead is manifested as shape, belong together and are unthinkable without one another."

Been a while since I checked this post but how long have you been using the Tarot and do you do your own readings?

My readings are always done with my Crystal Necklace (I'm grateful that Adrian mentioned this wonderful tool in his newsletters). I always do a 3 card spread to forecast and reassess my day. The cards help me attune more with my higher self and the universe.

I asked if anyone uses the cards for divination as I am not sure if the cards can be used for that. I only done readings on the questions I asked but I believe the answers I received pertain more to me and my reaction to the world rather than the world as a whole.

I never use tarot for divination only for meditation. They are the language of the subconscious and hold great energies. I meditate on individual cards that corespond with the astral planes.

Since you find the cards are assisting you to be more aware of your natural 'gifts', I would suggest that a new perspective now be added to your view.

The use of the cards is much like a baby learning to walk with a pusher/wheeled device (not sure what they are called in US), as the baby becomes more confident it will no longer need the device. So too with Tarot Cards.

They are a tool for us to use until we no longer need them.

Also, may I suggest you not use them daily to get perspective on each day? The last thing anyone should want is to become reliant upon what is only a learning tool to begin with.

I have known many people who will not, can not, make a decision in the day without refering to the cards. And this is giving your power away.

No offence meant Flame, be well.

Thanks a lot. I did not know about becoming reliant on them as the author in the book I read said a 3 card spread could be used everyday for insight. She also said that the cards are great for developing the major Chakras but would this drain energy as one becomes reliant? I noticed I can more accurately predict a day before reading the cards and my horoscope. I will start using the cards less and my intuition more as I do not want to rely on the cards for everything, only spiritual development.

I'm fairly new to Tarot and still on a steep learning curve so I can't answer any of your Q's.  But I just wanted to note that I am pregnant and since getting pregnant I have not been able to do anything with my cards, they don't seem to make any sense at all!!

I just wondered if you had ever heard of this problem before?

Don't every forget that you already know the meaning of the cards. They are the language of the subconscious. You (your higher self) knew what they meant before you even studied them. Somtimes it is difficult to translate the symbols into conscious meaning. Just like in astral projection some of your experiences can only be described in symbols. Try meditating on a card for a while.
