What do you have to lose in having your mind read? Are you protecting some major secrets? Generally it's surface thoughts that are read anyway, and unless you're typing in your bank code (which would still require them stealing your credit card) there's not much to worry about. If it's your secret crush reading your mind though, you might have your shy exterior under fire. That may be healthy for you in the end anyway though, even if the process is uncomfortable to the extreme.
