A few years back me and a couple of my friends where under the heavy influence of various drugs at the time.  I had a statuette of a half troll half fish thing (its hard to explain   ) which we dubbed Vespuchi.  I carried it around and introduced it to people, almost giving it a life and personality of its own.  I placed it on a pool table, placed candles around it and me and my two friends began a mantra (which was very powerful, it felt as if the whole room was vibrating) and directed energy into the statue.  After we where done I placed it in my room and it seemed to have an energy and atmosphere of its own.  One of my other friends said he didnt believe in its power and knocked it over, which in turn fell and a hole broke into its side.  I picked it up and told him Vespuchi would give him a what for!  A week later he was snow boarding and in a freak accident broke his arm.  He never questioned it again.

My main question here is do any of you think I should get rid of vespuchi???  I have had him for so long and consider him a guardian of sorts, but until recently with my experiences of astral travel and reiki energy I have started to wonder if he isnt negative.  He has never harmed me, and I have him rested on my night stand along with various other objects I have had with me for years.  I feel he is a grumpy old statue who's usefulness has run out, but at the same time feel sympathetic to him.  Maybe im just nuts!  8)   Any input would be great.

It's a thoughtform, just don't pay attention to it and it'll stop working. There are much more powerful thoughtforms, like Fotamecus.

thanks alot caco.  I will do my best!  What are these other thought forms you speak of?  I dont wish to create any, I have in the past for bad reasons and had to combat them away far after I realized they where more harm than good.  I created them with personal techniques I developed by intuition and have no background in creating them.  Can you expand on them for me?

I don't know much about thoughtforms, the only thoughtform that I used is Fotamecus. It's very powerful, and has it's own soul. He can be used to compress time, and for me worked very well. There's huge amount of info(and some disinfo) about thoughtforms on this site:
www.chaosmatrix.org (there's also a sigil of Fotamecus here, and the story how he was created)

Hi,

please don't throw the statue away like that.

My suggestion is:
1) consider keeping it. and when u reach the end of your life on earth, pass it down to your children or relative or someone u care about. Include proper instructions on how to use the item/statue and how to care for it
2) if u really wish to dispose of it, maybe u can try to send it to a buddhist temple and tell the head monk there (the more powerful (I mean psychic power) the better; the more holy the monk the better) about what u did to this statue. I think the monk will know what to do (if it is a truly highly-attained authentic monk, he will know what to do)
3) maybe u can set your statue free somehow. if u knew how to give it life, you should be able to somehow set it free (but not to cause havoc in the world.....please don't let it do evil)

What you say is quite thought provoking, I have some experience in this area. My self evident Snake/Staff has served me well; after decentralizing myself I started from the beginning and looked at the stick like a caveman.

For most people a stick is just a stick. But my Snakes part of me, it has my creative energy in it, it's taught me many, many lessons it's even bitten me. To the untrained eye my snake/staff/stick is just a stick, but it can be used to explain everything even rude stuff, my stick has taught me everything, and it has a very powerful commanding presence, but it still obeys me. Its literally an extension of me when I hold it I hold 'all thought' and because the stick actually is 'thought to myself' my arm extends beyond usual length, what I will the stick wills.

The Snake is my Staff if I said that and if it could talk it would probably say I was its Rod and visa versa.

To cut it short my staff for awhile was my only companion it found me I didn't find it, one day out of nowhere my farther 'probably under impression' took me and my brother to the woods and he fashioned four sticks for us, I wasn't to understand mine till later. so my Snake comes from my farther, it's all full of symbolism, practically explains thought and all scriptures itself, creating your own stick without knowing that that's what you're doing is quite an experience, its like watching yourself.

This was quite awhile ago, this is how my snake told me that we where all snakes temporarily trapped in this reality, it was quite a simple lesson, I held a match out I burned it slowly and I didn't let go until it went out, later I then noticed my skin replenishing itself, like a snakes, ha then I realized I couldn't actually fly, strictly that's not true because if you project your 'will' you are projecting 'flying'.

At one time I even covered it in transparent cello-tape symbolizing changing of the skin, my friends said it would tear the feathers apart when I took it off but luckily it didn't. I've even swiped it with feathers through a fire, that was a nice experience.

Anyway I made the connection the silver cord, the spine and the lotus position, I then 'still under guidance of the unknown source' drew a picture of a Man sitting in lotus facing me, and I used the Egyptian wing symbol that has Taurus horns, I placed them behind the Man/Snake for me represents the soul and reincarnation, as a guide to draw the wings behind the man.

I'm a good artist and I decode light, I then noticed that the legs could represent the snakes tale, all intertwined, the arms placed out across the knees palms open, although peaceful looked like the outline of the Cobras gill things before it strikes, I also have a bronze Cobra light as well so I can see it so clearly, you have to understand when I received this it was a revelation for me, quite aw inspiring.

So back to the matter, I think it's quite harmless; your belief in Vespuchi is like my Dum belief based on a snake, but probably not as extreme and detailed and it probably hasn't done as much damage as mine. I think it was you who hurt your friend via your belief, so this statue hasn't harmed anyone yet, only your thoughts have. I think you can still have an idol, only in rare circumstances especially if it's beneficial for remembering things, and if you're willing to except responsibility for it, yourself.

But I wouldn't recommend a whole nation to worship anything or have any 'idol' 'uncontrolled snake' whatsoever. I'm the only one here capable of dancing with snakes and not getting lost in the process, but more will come.

So don't let it have too much control over you I've been there, regard it as nothing keep a special place for it, in and outside your mind, and keeps its feet clean, have a reflecting relationship with it, basically look after yourself.

At the moment, when I pass over I want that stick burned; it would be right, set it free like Excalibur. But that's just me; right now I wouldn't dare burn it alive, I found a new one I'm working on anyway, got it from centre parks the other day, so altogether I have three snakes, two of them are flying snakes, decorated with feathers, and the third one I'm working on, oh and there's one between my legs. (that travels Up me Back)

Hope this helps

Please don't get the wrong end of the stick!

If you like the thing, I'd just smudge the sucker and be done with it, maybe park a nice blue lace agate next to it, to be on the safe side.

In the shamanic paradigm, BTW, a power object does not have to have any intrinsic power (although, of course, many do--particularly quartz crystals and lapis).  It may just be a personal object that has such strong associations that by meditating on it, one's own personal power is increased.  As a rule, a shaman's medicine bag contains all sorts of power objects, and in time, some of them do lose power, in which case they are best given away--in which case they may well regain power for the donee.
