Law of Attraction ( Share your opinions)

I recently saw a video about the law of attraction on youtube. They called it the secret.

They reffer to this as a big secret , something that only the wealthiest people in the world are aware of which is why they are so successful in life and things like that .

To explain what it is in a few lines, they say that any thoughts you have during the day is emitting some kinda energy wave into the universe . If, for example, you keep telling yourself , why am i poor, why do i always have bad luck , why is everyone always so mean with me , etc... those thought waves will actualy manifest and you will keep being bad lucky and people will keep being mean to you and you will remain poor.

But if , on the other hand you keep having positive thoughts about having a nice house , a nice job, having lots of friends, meeting your soul mate and simply always keep that state of mind, your thought waves will again maifest and you will live a happy life.

Now since i'm an open minded person, i'm willing to accept this idea and think that this is in fact possible but i'm curious to know what you people think of it and to what extent you are all willing to beleive in this .

For example , what if i'm a person who simply  can't possibly be happy in a world like the one we live in no matter how healthy and/or wealthy i am . Could i possibly change it just by thinking of it my guess would be no . What's yours ??


What i mean is that , what makes most people happy is usualy , love, money, fame and luxury right ??  but what if my areas of interest do not include any of these things?? could i still be happy ??  What if i wish we lived in a world filled with magic , mythical creatures , rifts opening to other dimensions. the ability to clearly comunicate with any living things, the ability to fly without the use of any technology. In fact i wish we could live in a world where magic would completly replace all techonology.  I'm sure you would all tell me i'm just a lunatic right ??  By the way i know i am .

But when you think about it , alot of people would consider the law of attraction to be some kind of magic and all the skeptics out there would consider anyone who speaks about the law of attraction to be a lunatic . Yet, there are already alot of people who speak of it as the ultimate truth.  Now i'm wondering , If the law of attraction is in fact real , then why should it be limited to the simple reality that we all know . Why should it only apply to love, money and fame ??  I simply don't belong in a world where happyness should be bound to those few things . I just don't .

Another question that comes to my mind is that , is it possible that creatures such as the Jersey Devil, The yeti, The Mothman, the Chupacabra and Mermaids have been summoned by people into this world by using the law of attraction ?  If you don't know what these creatures are, just do a little bit of research on them and you'll find plenty of informations about them . I've recently discovered videos about the Mothman, the Jersey devil and one very convincing video of a Mermaid sighting that looked very real to me . I'm starting to beleive that they are real more and more . Now i'm certainly not talking about the commong mermaids we see in fairy tales but the creature that we see in the video is nothing i've seen before and i wouldn't know how to call it if not Mermaid.

So anyways , i think i've babled long enough here, i'm open to any comments or opinions as long as respect is maintained . I'm very curious to know what ya'll think , especialy if you have alot of experience with the supernatural yourself .

If these things make you happy, you already answered your own question. Don't let people impose their priorities and standards on you. You are the one living your life, not them. With that said, we all have to play this game of birth/growth/death in the physical. They don't say life's a grump without reason. If we have things in our life that make us happy it makes things a lot easier to get through, though. If your magic-related interests aren't cutting it in this respect, perhaps you should consider pursuing things that will. In that regard, yes I think the law of attraction works. People take each other at face value, period. If you feel larger than life, you'll act larger than life, you'll seem larger than life. Your psyche is the ONLY barrier.

Another question that comes to my mind is that , is it possible that creatures such as the Jersey Devil, The yeti, The Mothman, the Chupacabra and Mermaids have been summoned by people into this world by using the law of attraction ?

I doubt these things exist as part of the physical plane, but who knows?

The one from the left is the one i had seen, the one on the right is new to me and i don't necessarily beleive that this one is real but the one on the left is definatly not human. You can find other videos where a sexy women will wear a very nice suit of a mermaid and it could look real but when you compare a human mermaid and the video i've linked here, you can easily see that there is a big difference in the way they swim which only increases my belief. Also the fact that in this video, the mermaid doesn't use her arms to swim at all and the motion from it's tail is impossible to replicate by a women in a suit . Her legs wouldn't bend that much and even if she could, she certainly would never be able to swim as fast as this one does.

This video was made by a team called  Paranormal state which are a team of students from Penn State who investigate everything about the paranormal. They are not scammers , whatever they do is serious. They had a TV show for some time but i think it's off the air now , not sure . Anyways, i've seen the full episode where they got this footage of the Jersey Devil on Letmewatchthis.com and the creature that they saw in the thermal cam was realy there and the footage is not tricked. What you see is exactly what they got . I'm only dissapointed that they didn't try to get closer to it .

So anyways , all of this to say that there are creatures out there that some people say don't exist . And the reason i bring this up is to ask if you guys think that it's possible that the reality that we know is only like that because we are raised to beleive that it's the only reality. Is it possible that new creatures could be summoned into our reality because more and more people think about them and dream about them everyday ??

Which brings me to ask the question one more time, would it be possible to redefine our reality if enough people would concentrate on doing so??

I beleive that this is what quantum physics is about right ?? everything is energy and energy can certainly shape itself into anything right ??

So once again, leave your comments and opinions but please be respectfull. It's totally OK to be skeptic, i know i'm just a dreamer but i'd like to know if there are others like me out there who wished our world was different .

I agree that we all need to be born , grow and then die, this is a reality that cannot be changed but i simply wish that there were alternative ways to live, other than pursuing wealth, love and luxury.

When i look at the people around me , everyone goes to school , then gets a job, tries to find a lover, buys a house, makes kids , then looks after their kids and sometimes offers themselves some luxury, then their kids repeat the process and so on and so on.  To be honest , the only word that comes up to me when i think about this is " BORING" Which makes me wonder , what the heck am i doing here ??


If thats all that life has to offer then i might as well die now . I'm not sure what you meant by feeling larger than life but i wouldn't describe myself as being larger than life. I simply don't fit in that standard picture that i was raised to try and fit in.

The Secret is a popular new age self-help type of thing.  The essence is presented by Deepak Chopra in the Seven Spiritual Laws of success.  There are also some authors who devote books to the subject, and did long before the secret came out.  But it's not new.

The law of attraction is real, but the context in which The Secret film and book present it is misleading.  I don't believe that it's a conspiracy and that rich powerful people are manipulating the world with the LOA on purpose.  They are using it, but that's just because it's a natural law.  Everybody and everything in the universe is governed by it, just like gravity.  Rich people just instinctively have the appropriate mindset for attracting that to themselves.

We don't have to live a life of pursuing wealth and luxury. Love, on the other hand, is always worth giving but I'm not convinced that it can be pursued. Sex can be pursued, as can partners to share love with. The deep soul-mate, twin-flame love that most of us idealise, though, might not be pursuable. One simply makes oneself loveable until the right person appears and you recognise one another. It's more a question of being receptive to the possibility than of pursuit.

I think the secret to being happy is not to be unhappy. I know that people are starving; are being subjected to atrocities; are living lives I might find to be a living hell and I send them my love, blessings and healing thoughts. On the other hand, I don't fill myself at any time with their suffering and plight. Not only can I not help them, other than by sending out my blessings, but taking on their burden would take away their karma and cause me to suffer for no good reason. Let the people of the world walk their own path and look to the completeness of your own. A hermit in a cave can be happy and content. With a partner by his side, he can be blissfully happy. Equally, tucked away inside his own mind, he can be content and stress-free, with no concerns beyond being fed.

Due to the dictates of being incarnate, we need to eat, sleep and find shelter. Try to limit your needs to those that truly are needs and move yourself in a direction which gives you peace.

On the other hand, I do believe in the law of attraction and that it's a question of belief, of confidence. Believe that good is in your future and that things will always proceed as you anticipate for your own greater good. Note that this is very different from "telling" yourself this on a daily basis, it's deeper and you must believe and assume the best for the natural law to be active. When you doubt the outcome, you introduce negative possibilities, which are then considered as probabilities as the future unfolds. Know that your future is the one you choose for yourself and admit no alternative possibility. You make your own luck and your own good fortune.

I think it's possible that we've already chosen our future - some choose very material lives, some hard & difficult lives, some spiritual lives, etc.

Some people are naturally intuitive of their future, so when a prosperous future is headed and they "feel" it, they assume they created it with their obsessive desires for it, when in reality it already existed.

When a person intuits a crappy life ahead of them, they are not going to entertain the idea that they created it with their wishes & desires. The other guy might tell them that though.

It makes sense that the person who has self-perceived great things coming to them are going to feel special, and the other person feel lost. That's the nature of existence. We can't all be millionaires in mansions.

So there's a Secret for ya.
