I think the past cannot be altered but you can move to other universes(wich could seem like the past to you).

I've been to parallel universes very close to this one. Only small things were different.
An example is here http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13768&whichpage=2. I know they exist.

An analogy. Let the laws of physics be the rules of chess, and this position in space and time be where the pieces are on the board. The board is outside of time. It is all that exists and contains all time. All games are played at the same time.

Here, all your memories are contained in the present. You think you had a specific past, but many other previous positions on the board could lead to the same positions you see now. You have no way of knowing which is your real past, if such a thing even exists. The board could have been started with random positions and this is one of them.

The pawns can never move backwards unless you cheat (through a wormhole to the past). That gives a general idea which positions are in the future.

Maybe a second game has your exact positions at some time then diverges to different positions than your future. If you're at the intersection, you could go either way. Your spirit is the player and chooses which path to try to take.

You could make a sequence of moves that leaves the board exactly as it was at some time in your past. I've been in real time loops like that. It was scary. I thought I'd never get out after the first hundred cycles. I got out because my spirit is not contained in the loop. It observes from outside. My brain is contained in the loop so it did about the same thing every time.

Heres where it gets weird, as if it wasnt already. The rules of chess define every game that could exist. Our spirit's attention on one game (play that game) makes it real. But what about the astronomical number of games that no spirit pays attention to? Are they still real, existing only in the rules? Can they affect the things we're sure exist? Could you count the total number of moves in all games that could exist without playing them?

All particles have places in their path where they dont exist at all. I think they're in some other universe, but does that universe exist?

In the "double slit" experiments, if you touch the particle fired at the slits before it goes through, it only goes through 1. If you dont touch it and therefore cant be sure which it goes through, it goes through both. A parallel universe overlaps with this one. I could choose to murder somebody if it goes through the left slit and not if the right. The 2 universes diverge exponentially more as time goes on. A descendant of the victim could some day build a bomb that destroys the sun... All from a single particle. The instant I touch that particle, I choose which path. It would be useful if I could see the effects of touching it one way or the other, but both universes would have to already exist so I could look into their futures. At every small choice it would have to split until all possible universes existed. How would I know which path to follow to see the sun explode? Its an astronomically big number to search through. All paths would exist equally. In that case, it is no different for a game to really be played than for it to exist only as a possibility defined by the rules. What exists would be defined only by what you're paying attention to.

If all possibilities exist, its no different than if only the one you see now exists. There is an other possibility. Only 1 universe exists at a time. If you change your universe (by psychic teleportation to an other universe or normal physics), everything else is affected. The possible universes dont really exist and cant affect this one unless you go to them which makes a connection. If I go to an other universe that didnt exist until now, where did its past come from? Billions of years all created because I moved over a little. Maybe its in the laws of physics to do that, but its very inefficient and unlikely. But I know the past can be changed. Read the link above. I did it. A new past created, very similar to the old one, millions of people affected, just for me.

If all possible universes exist or if only 1 exists at a time, the same conclusion is reached. The past can be changed and you can move from 1 universe to an other.

I'm not the only observer (a spirit) of universes. Other spirits exist in universes that are not real to me. Maybe their existance "started" (words related to time create problems) in that other universe and they dont exist here. By changing the smallest thing, I could create an infinite number of other things. I'd call it my future, but it does not have to obey the humans' laws of physics. Movements from 1 universe to an other happen later because of movements I do now. My efforts appear to have little effect now, but in the infinite changes I cause later, which could circle around and affect my own past, I have the power of a god, but not the knowledge to use it.

Since my changes can affect my past, the smallest thing here, if done infinitely correct, could have an infinitely big effect on here and now. I can sometimes use that power to do telekinesis, but my psychic actions are too far off from perfect to have a big effect. That same small amount of psychic energy, if properly used, could do literally anything.

Wow I never thought I'd logicly figure that out.

Or am I crazy?
