not to mention "jumping genes" or "transposons" which happen thousands of times a second, and no geneticist on the planet can predict the outcome or position these genes will jump to.

they seem to obey random chaos, but they also occur more often during an infection or sickness, leading scientist's to believe that they are the process behind anti-body creation.

not only that, but the linkages between "lattices" which are highly organized atomic structures, electricity, and our own brain which like you said is very much a crystaline structure.  (which also has links to sacred geometry)

The following two articles were fundamental to my explorations in the mid-90's. The first outlines the crystalline brain structures, not only the pineal, but the pituitary, cerebellum and central cortex, in order of highest crystalline density. It seems we do have rocks in our heads after all! [8D]

My postulate is that these crystalline structures are integral to the mechanism of acheiving parapsychological effects, including MD awareness and perhaps access.

The second article, a statistical meta-analysis of worldwide data to that date, provided the early experimental baseline for observed parapsychological effects amongst the general population, disproving the null hypothesis. Specific populations provided noteable measureable exceptions, i.e. musicians and artists had much more than baseline capabilities on average. Optimism also produced slightly better than average results. []

Abstract
Melatonin secretion by the pineal gland has been reported to be affected by exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMFs). In an initial investigation to determine if calcifications commonly found in the pineal gland could respond to EMFs by a transducer mechanism, studies were conducted to ascertain if pineal tissues were piezoelectric. Second harmonic generation (SHG) measurements showed that pineal tissues contained noncentrosymmetric crystals, thus proving the presence of piezoelectricity. Both mulberry-like and faceted crystalline calcifications were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Some of the calcifications had compositions similar to that of hydroxyapatite; others contained a high concentration of aluminum. If one accepts that there is ultimately a common biological mechanism and effect for varying paranormal or metaphysical abilities, then try reasoning in reverse.

If there is a biological and mechanical result, logic dictates that the process can be "reverse engineered". Right now, it seems that a "spiritual awakening" is an element of the process. The risks identified, in retrospect, can be avoided or minimized and dealt with on a non invasive basis.

You're born with arms and legs. Why would you not develop their use and functionality? With all the risks and rewards that entails?[]

Conclusion:
As... apparent, the mechanisms which may be involved in the producing the effects found in these databases are still unknown. Process-oriented research is ongoing in parapsychology. In future studies, correlations such as those found in the precognition database may help us better differentiate between the differing theoretical interpretations of these anomalous effects. While this paper has focused upon presenting summaries of experimental data, there are a variety of theoretical models which address these findings. Although it is outside the scope of this paper to review these models, a thorough presentation of theoretical parapsychology is provided by Stokes [39].

In conclusion, the findings from these meta-analyses suggest that consistent trends and patterns are to be found in the database. The consistency of outcomes found in the ganzfeld research, the robust PK effects, the modifying variables revealed by the precognition database, the variety of target systems displaying DMILS effects and the correlations found with personality traits are all indicative of lawful relationships. Given these relationships it is difficult to dismiss the findings as "merely an unexplained departure from a theoretical chance baseline'' p. 301 [23]. Whether these effects will prove to represent .... as seems increasingly likely, a genuinely new, hitherto unrecognised characteristic of mind or consciousness remains to be seen.
