I've heard about them and they work just like any other object in magick. They stimulate subconsciousness to achieve desired effect...

I think they are splendid contraptions!  Give 'em a spin & send your prayers out into the cosmos!  It's comforting to actually be able to physically touch them & know that they represent centuries of wisdom & tradition.
