coincedence?

Hello there everyone, I'm quite new here, it is my first post, I'm also very new to the exploration of spirituality and meditation. But a few days ago i had quite a weird experience, if anyone of you would like to help me out, that would be greatly appreciated.

I have been meditating for about 3 months now, for about an hour a day, usually around late afternoon or night. I mostly listen to the band Tool, while i meditate, it seems to be very relaxing, even with their grungy songs. We'll the other night, i was sitting down with my legs crossed and my eyes closed, at the time i was feeling very down and depressed as I'm in love with a woman, and i cannot stop thinking about her. i began seeing images of her, and it was images of her sitting down watching me as i meditate. I was relaxed and in focus on her for about an hour, when a voice in my head said "come to me", it was a woman's voice(and no it was not in the song from tool, i was listening to the song mantra, i have heard the song over and over, and there is no voice of a woman in any part of it). i immediately got up and started pacing through my bedroom. It scared me a bit, so i walked downstairs to my kitchen for a glass of water, and to check my messages on my phone, and there was a message from the woman that i was focused on while meditating, it was only about 2 minutes old, she must have called when i was meditating. the message said, she wanted me to call her back, i did so, but there was no answer, so i left a message on her phone, and till this day, i have not gotten a call back from her, tried again today and even yesterday and i still have not gotten a response. Did i communicate with her through meditation? is this some sort of sign? do i have maybe a gift of some spiritual nature? or was it just some coincidence?

I have known her for 8 months, she likes me alot, she recently broke up with her boyfriend, and she is very interested in me, but since i had that meditation a few days ago, i haven't heard from her since. has anyone heard about the possibility about communicating to another human being through meditation?

If it is a "gift" it is one given to all normal minds.  Virtually everyone except those with brain defects has the ability to send and receive telepathic images and messages.  Like every talent, some have it stronger than others and it can be strengthened with practice and training.

Re: "coincidence" -- That's something I don't believe in.  I suppose it can happen, but most things that people would like to dismiss as coincidence are probably  synchronicity or just "scary" stuff someone doesn't want to accept.

Well do you know of any articles that you may have, to help me with some of this telepathic stuff. I'm very interested in it, but i don't know very much, and some people I've talked to, don't know much about this either.

On another note, I was talking to a friend who is into reading peoples aura's. He said that i might have been cursed by this woman that i love, to feel depression and confusion, which i feel now. Do any of you know any suggestions for maybe spiritual healing of some sort, in order to forget about this woman, i don't even love her anymore i just want to stay away from her, but its causing me to go insane. i can't sleep, i can't eat, i can't focus on my schooling, i can't do any physical activities........i need help with this.

I don't believe that anyone can be cursed -- it's just superstition unless you happen to live in a culture of voodoo.

Other than that, I'd say you're putting the cart before the horse.  Do you really want to learn to meditate & why?  Try getting a good handle on that before switching to telepathy.

Have you heard of the philosophy of "non-attachment"?  You're so wound up about what you want & what she wants that you're spinning your wheels.

Dont get me wrong when I say this, I beleive in telepathy and all, but I dont think this was a telepathic message.  You said you like this woman very much, you also stated that you were concentrating on her for an extended amount of time.  What I think happened was your brain gave you what you wanted to hear.  Its sort of like when you crave some food and you can kinda taste it even though youre not eating it.  

If you want to test your telepathy skills, grab a friend and try to communicate without speach or any physical signal.  Imagine your thoughts as a river, flowing to the other person, reverse to read the other person.  Hope this helps.
