Hi Conn :))

First of all, maybe it is 'just a phase' a part of Life's ebbs and tides.... I find this kinda stuff is cyclical for me, so perhaps it might be for you. Maybe things are happening in the background, utilising energy for that leaving little for OBE.

May I suggest trying out CIR on the distress issue that you aren't having intense/noticeable energy sensations? Maybe look at it through the belief system cleanse too, to remove any "negative imprinting" around it and energy work. (Just an idea, mate! Take it or leave it!)

I don't think you can do too much energy work unless you are working with primaries.

Maybe you need to work on secondaries a bit more -- as you stated primaries and then OBE decreased.... so it might help to focus on secondaries for a while. It doesn't sound or seem as "impressive" but the secondaires work with primaries (indirectly) and you might find it will kickstart things for you again.

Discomfort moving energy in trance -- it might be a blockage. Try rapido in those uncomfortable areas. Alternatively, work around them, like the barriers on either side of a dam.... work down the resistance that way.

My perspective, derived from my training as a bodyworker and years of exploring this issue, is that the body (energy or physical) is like an onion, you peel down through the layers and each one is different. So I wouldn't say you have an unstable energy body per se, but rather, it is part of the natural process of going through the layers!

Another thing, energy breathing might be just the thing for keeping your energy levels up to par -- in light of you feeling exhausted in the mornings and reduction of OBE's, lessened dream recall, trance issues, etc. (And maybe something is different in your life perhaps impacting on all this, a change of routine/location/events..... The external world can impact on these things and there are loads of things you could try from essences to patience!)

Well I hope that helps somewhat. It might also help to do a spiritual exercise, the belief system cleanse, on the subject of trance and energy work. I did pick up some little seeds of self-doubt there with a need to know (causes).... working on your belief systems might also help shift some blockages there which have risen up as you work in these 'metaphysical' areas.

Cheers
Donni

G'day!

There is a kind of biospiritual-release-astrological cycle of rises and falls involved with all aspects of development work. Astrological forces may be involved. Sometimes you hit a patch when nothing seems to work, and even dreams die off.  These 'patches' are particularly strong during the early years of spiritual/metaphysical development. These waves progressively even out in time, but big downers and even 'dark nights of the soul' can be expected by everyone from time to time. I've just come out of one of these big lows myself.

So, its possible that you are in a low part of your cycle.  I suggest you concentrate on your physical body and life and work on empowering yourself.  Concentrate on diet and health, and exercise regularly. This is a good time to catch up on your reading,  or to visit friends and go for long walks and think a lot, etc.  Introspection and contemplation are extremely beneficial, and should never be overlooked.

The above helps to 'refresh' your energies and revitalize your inner being, which I think is what you need more than anything. The energy body also sometimes needs a rest, just like the physical body does, so it can heal and rebuild and refresh itself.

One exercise I have found that helps is deep thinking.  Pick a time when you will not be disturbed, and take the phone off the hook. Sit in a quiet, semidark (candelit) room in a hard backed chair with no head support, if you can. No music allowed. Just relax deeply and allow your mind to wind down and settle.  Examine thoughts as they arise and then push them gently aside.  Think about your life and your aspirations.  Take your time over this. This must be done slowly and thoroughly.  Continue this for at least two hours, but the longer the better.  You may feel frustrated during this exercise, but will have to overcome this.  In time you will learn to love this practice.

"Man, know thyself" is the wisest statement ever made.  Above is the way one can to begin to accomplish this.

Note that you will tend to drift in and out of trance during the above.

Take care, Robert.

Hey,

Thanks for the replies Donni and Robert, I think I
will try some CIR, and some introspection. I had a
hunch I was in one of those "cycles", re a lot on
my plate to deal with at the moment.

Again, thanks for the help! :)

Hi,

I've been having quite a bit of trouble meditating (and hence projecting) in the last month-and-a-half. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions/ideas to get me out of this little rut? I really miss my OBES! :)

Anyway, basically I can keep my inner dialogue silent quite well, I've done the progressive relaxation exercises, trance induction. I usually have no problem getting into trance after 30 minutes tops (ie, I always start noticing the sudden falling sensation followed by chakra activity which spreads and becomes reminicant of "vibrations")

I have been raising energy via the full-body circuit daily, but not in specific sessions, only during the day in the background (it's pretty automatic by now). I realise Robert says that reduced energy sensations are a good sign, but it's pretty distressing all the same. Every couple of days when I try to get into trance I do the primary circuit, and lately I haven't felt much activity at all, even in the base centre.

Perhaps I did energy-work too much in the initial stages? When I started NEW in May 2001 I had success with energy awareness (ie sensing the energy) and projection etc, which peaked when I started the primary circuit. When I started stimulating primaries I had minimal sensations from them, but nevertheless it sparked off daily sleep paralasis and multiple exits per morning (which seemed like a very good thing at the time :)

However, most times I entered trance I felt discomfort when moving energy, sometimes quite painful. But it did'nt really stop me projecting. What does this mean? Does it mean I have an unstable energy-body?

Now I can't even get into trance! Additionally, my dream recall has gone down quite a bit, despite the fact I still write my dreams into my journal daily. To top it all off, I do feel exhausted most days (even if I get a good night's sleep).

Sorry for the mixing of topics (NEW and trance) but I'd rather not write two posts :)

Regards
Conn
