I'll just cut to the chase with this:
Is it normal to feel anxious when it seems your consciousness is shifting during meditation? I am unable to proceed any further because of it and I am starting to become discouraged. If this is normal, what advice can you offer me? Anything would be appreciated at this point. Also, thank you in advanced for your help.

Focus on your breathing, breathe in deep through your nose. imagine you are breathing in prana with each breathe.
make sure the tip of your tongue is touching the roof of your mouth for energy circulation.

you feel anxious because your nervous system is reacting to the shifting, it will pass. Doing yoga also helps
your nervous system adjust too.

Thank you, I will remember all of that and hopefully it will help.

I just found it incredibly strange. For the lack of a better word, it felt like my body was "vibrating," which.. felt odd and I somehow willed myself to stop proceeding any further so I could get used to that sensation. Once I was ready to continue, it was overwhelming and difficult to explain. The best I can describe it as would be similar to sleep paralysis. There was a heaviness in my body and it felt like something in my mind was about to snap.

Maybe it would help if I knew what exactly to expect, but I have a feeling that experience varies between individuals.
