Sounds to me like it has nothing to do with your chakras and everything to do with your poor card-playing skills!  [:D]

something similar happens to me. only this happens when I try to visualize. I'll imagine myself getting very angry at someone and attacking them. Usually a specific person from my school who is a major moron. (pardon the language) maybe you are subconsciously thinking about people that anger you. well, I'm just 15, so I can't really offer too much wisdom. sorry.

Something I came across a few years back was the theory that when first beginning to meditate we release our pent up negative emotions. That could be what you are experiencing.

In time, the meditation sessions tend to even out, and you should be experiencing more mellow effects. A good little book I'd recommend for some nice explanations and techniques is called Taking the Path of Zen by Robert Aitken.

<< after i meditate i have an upsurge of frustration and anger >>

Id step away from phrases like that too. I dont doubt that you were angry after you meditated but your ego is so quick to make it a general rule for all meditation sessions now.

Hi users_net

Negative feelings such as this can come about from a lack of energy, just as they can cause a drain on your energy body.

If you're conscious of these feelings, consider that during a time of meditation we usually absorb or draw in energy from around us to our benefit. The trick when you end a session of meditation is to not let go of that energy, but store it and carry it with you.

The "batteries" of our energy body are located in the sub navel area, roughly around the second chakra. When you start winding up a session of meditation, whether you are focussing on energy raising or just on quiet contemplation without any emphasis on energy, visualise the energy around you flowing back down into your lower abdomen. When you end your meditation, try and keep an awareness of this energy storage centre, and the fact that it is keeping your whole energy body nicely charged.

Also, as Nick mentioned, be aware that during meditation you are releasing yourself of these negative emotions to rise above them, so when you finish meditating, stay conscious of the the need to remain separate from those emotions.

All the best,
James.
