i am confused......about re incarnation......and the mp3s that have been submitted.....

I was wondering if anyone could give me a simplified definition of reincarnation....cause i thought it was compulsory...and these people are still in the astral...

The coming back thing might be compulsory, but the whole when, where and how bit I think you have a bit of choice in.  If they want to wander around in the astral for 100years before they come back, then why not?  Maybe they have things to learn there before they come back?

That's just my thinking anyway....anyone else?

Reincarnation is when an awakened being makes a conscious effort to incarnate their awakened selves. They pick the place, the time, the mother, their appearance, etc. They are born with full memory of who they are. Their is nothing forcing them back into life. It is completely voluntary...

...Unlike the rest of us who are caught in the wheel of Samsara. We are effected by karma and dharma and don't have the option to not return. We are repeating the same mistakes over and over, lifetime after lifetime.

This is according to certain eastern philosophies.

I don't think so.

It is a matter of working on ones own psychology. I believe it is the fact that we identify with the ups and down of life that keep us asleep. Why desire anything when all of this is a temporary illusion? Why feel bad about things that you cannot change? Everything in this life is going to end so why identify with lust, wealth, and earthly desires in general?

Separate the Self from the experience. Easily said, easily accepted, but not so easily applied:)

I don't believe pointlessly desiring for that which you cannot have is anyone's idea of fun.

Fun is the enjoyment of what you have.

Desire is the abuse of need.  It is the soul of addiction.  

Lust propogates humanity, but it is extremely common to seek sexual gratification as it's own reward.   Overstimulation is the result, which results in needing more stimulation for the same effect while dulling sensitivity outside of the addiction.

It is the same for any other desire, any other addiction.  Drugs, alcohol, food, entertainment, praise, control...   You name it, it can be an addiction.

So, believe me, without "desire" there is plenty of fun, by being 'in the moment', centered in the now and responding authentically to reality, instead of always reacting out of the current "desire".

That is the value of detachment.

It's not 'compulsory', but because it's the natural course of action for evolution (with regards to the human soul, on this planet), hence it's the most commonly and naturally utilized tool for almost all human souls. Those who have suffered greatly in past intraphysical incarnations may decide they need a longer period of rest and recuperation, but in the majority of cases, they recognize and agree that they will want to come back into the physical when they feel it's a more appropriate time to do so.

Hence, to summarize : Souls are not forced against their will to reincarnate, it is their own free will to do so, and almost all human souls will choose to reincarnate (in spite of what they may say now, in the physical), because it's the most effective tool for evolution, the purpose of existence.

even in the astral, you learn, as someone mentioned


this whole process of living on earth and other places (in some peoples theories, but better leave it as just earth, for example)

this is what i think, we are put here to learn, and thats it, to experience

number 1 reason which i believe[i have edited this, right here.. i dont like how i said number1, but i believe its a great reason to learn], we are here to experience negativity, for in the astral there isn't any


for experiencing this life brings much knowledge, and so does the astral (i think the astral can bring more knowledge to be  honest, but no negativity)
