Been working with manta: Om Mani Padme Hum latly and found it helps alot when images and thoughts enters the mind and focusing on the mantra just pushes them away as they popup. I'm looking at a new mantra that was
Giving by Samael Aun Weor which changed the "Ni" to "Si" and I can't find anything outside of the gnosticteachings.org that teaches this mantra.
A quote from Samael Aun Weor:
"To be in that blessed state, or to observe thoughts without identifying with them, is something very difficult, but we have to start at least doing it when we close our eyes, in order to meditate, in order to contemplate God. There is a mantra which helps us activate that remembrance of God:
OM MASI PADME HUM. This mantra activates the pineal gland and the heart together, in order to stay here and now, because we are always out of the state of awareness."

I searched the forms on the gnostic site about it and found this:

"The timeless mantra Om Masi Padme Yum was previously only given in the internal planes, until Samael Aun Weor began teaching it publicly. The letter S relates to the secret fire, which is awakened and worked with by those who have been initiated into the inner knowledge. This is why it was not taught publicly before, because in the past no one in the public knew how to work with the inner fire. If you go to any authentic lama in the internal worlds, they will teach you the mantra with the S."

Any thoughts on this?
Firmly understand that there is no joy or sorrow in this world. If you believe worldly objects are a source of happiness, in their absence you will feel sorrow. Accept the fact that there is no true happiness in the world.

I'm always skeptical of tools handed down by other cultures. Not that they are not valid or don't work for them but I wonder about their true worth in other cultures. I'm skeptical but not resistant to it.. so I can agree that it can be looked at like a cookbook recipe... just the same, I remain skeptical. :)
