during the day try becoming aware of your awareness, most of the time people arent aware of it and unconsiously get on with life.
get used to confronting your mind, if you get me.
Sit in a dark room and light a candle, sit comfortably and face the flame, look toward the flame but not actually at it cos it'll possibly hurt your eyes, clear your mind - if its late at night and there's little car traffic about listen to the sounds outside such as if there's a breeze blowing against the trees.
I find it very soothing and calming and helps in many ways.
I sit quietly and tell myself to shut up if I think about anything related to physical life. When I stop having to tell myself to shut up, my thoughts become more interesting and many times are about things that cant be translated into words.
Accept that you are a beginner!
And accept that it takes practice.
Accept that you will have alot of thoughts running through your mind alot at the beginning.
Just do your meditation, even tho it doesnt feel as if you are making progress, every time you do one session you add to your knowledgebox new knowledge and understanding.
No exersice is waste of time, you always add to your knowledge.
Go with the flow!
Can someone tell me what they do for meditating? can u give me a site, or just tell me what you do or think about to meditate. i wanna try and i don't really know where to start. I've also heard of mantra's. can some one explain them to me and maybe give me a site on it or just post some?
