hi! I have adhd. I don't sweat a lot but I have contol over my body. I don't exactly know how I do it, but I can incrase or slow down my heart rate. Also I can make my body warmer, I usually don't wear much cloths. I can go out in -17*celsius in only jeans and t-shirt without getting cold! (That's about 0*F) If you put your hand on mine you'll feel I'm warm :)

I can't exactly explain how I do it. But I do something with my upperbody, (Like when taking a deep breath and then holding your breath, but you're still breathing) and then I think of fire going through my body, from my head and down. (sort of like meditaiton) It will tingle in my skin on my back, head and my arms.

When I was a kid I slept with my window open. In winter there sometimes was snow on my floor when I woke up. I usually kicked my blanket to the floor in my sleep because it was too hot :p

when you smoke marijuana again and you manage to get into that special relaxed state- eat some peppermint.  every time you're in that special state eat some more peppermint.  pretty soon you will associate that state with peppermint and all you'll have to do to get into that state is eat the peppermint.  i learned that trick from my abnormal psych teacher.
as below, so above

For a long time now I've had excessivly sweaty hands and feet, I've tried quite a few treatments but to no avail, except marijuana.  If I smoke marijuana and relax just right my hands become warm and dry... I feel comfortable and alert, but in this trance I have a very hard time communicating, or talking breaks it and my hands begin dripping again.

I've got a few ideas about what causes it... I've got ADD which is frequently related to an adrenaline deficiancy, maybe in school I learned to rev up the sympathetic response (fight or flight) to stay alert and focused, aside from possibly being unhealthy, it is very inconvienient.  I don't think it has too much to do with state of mind anymore, or at least it has become incorporated with all my states of mind, because I even sweat in my sleep, judging from the wet areas around my feet and hands.

Also, as a child I needed very little sleep, but because of boredom I now get 8 hours of sleep like everyone else.  It's worst in the morning, and if I stay up all night it's virtually cured for the next day.  Maybe it has some corrolation with oversleeping?

I've heard of the awesome amounts of mind and body control gained by yogi's, able to speed up and slow down metabolism and heart rate at will.
While looking for cures and remedies for HH I often wondered why none of my fellow *sufferers* on the yahoo forum ever blamed something other than "genetics" or "predisposition"  and maybe tried to get sweating under concious control.
So far meditation has been helpful to me, but not with this.

Does anyone know anything about this?  Maybe specific techniques for controlling the sympathic response, or perhaps spiritual causes.
"never trust a man with clamy hands"
anything would be helpful.
